Sokoninaru ("There it resounds") have a lot of well written songs in my opinion, and this one has lately especially been on my mind. While it's short, I enjoy both the music and the lyrics a lot.
Translation by me.
Annotations:
"But yet we still deceive" - This actually says "We are still badgers", but since the meaning wouldn't come across in English at all, I of course translated what the badger, in Japanese, stands for; a creature in folklore that deceives humans, similar to the fox and tanuki.
"We led our lives" - This is once again an interpretation. The original contains the verb "to walk", but it's mostly used in the figurative sense of "leading life", "following a [figurative] path".
"Let us spin our tales again and again" - Same here. The verb is only "to spin", "to make yarn", but like in English it's often used in this figurative sense.
