    Hey i know this video is pretty old but i just got one. When both burners are on high i cant get the flames to be that big. I want to heat the whole thing on high but when i have both burners on high the flames arent big at all. Only when i leave one burner on does the grill get really hot.

    Can you use this indoors ?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  8 месяцев назад

      I personally haven’t used it inside the house but I did cook on it inside my garage with garage door being half open. It wasn’t too bad. 😅 I guess, as long as you have some ventilation going you should be able to cook with it inside the house. It wouldn’t be ideal but it is doable since you’re not burning any charcoal or wood to heat it up. Hope this helps.

      I wouldn’t. Propane burns different and produces higher carbon I believe. From what I was told. Never looked it up lol. But I will today since I got this griddle last week.

      @the_truth21 Congrats on your new purchase. I used it with propane too and food came out quite good (didn’t notice any difference in the taste).

      @@SOBIsHobbies food wise it’s the same. What I was told the fumes produced by the burning of the propane is bad to do indoors. That’s why the manual says outdoors in a well ventilated area

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  6 месяцев назад

      @the_truth21 I see. Well, to be on the safe side I wouldn’t try to utilize this gridle indoors. I believe even in the instructions it does emphasize that it’s not recommended to use it indoors. Cheers!

      That’s amazing! May I ask what location that is? Because over here in California they’re usually $119 but got reduced to $79. However $49 sounds incredible.

      I personally haven’t tried that myself. However, I believe there was someone in the comments section who mentioned that they’ve either done that or were going to do that.

    Is there supposed to be a gap connecting the regulator? Mine doesn’t connect all the through after turning on the threads .

    • @SOBIsHobbies

      Hi. Can you clarify your question a bit, please? Are you referring to the knobs that control the flame level?

      @@SOBIsHobbies We had the same thing. This is Step 6 where you twist on the piece for the propane tank. Ours is not going on all the way

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  2 года назад

      @@amayer349 I see. I just looked over the manual to see which section that was. 😊 For that step all I do (every time when I’m using the griddle) is I align the regulator with manifold assembly and begin twisting the metal coupler piece that comes with the regulator. Make sure threads are aligned before rotating the coupler. Since those are machined fine threads it’s important they sit properly. Once that coupler piece is fully twisted/screwed on over the manifold assembly that’s when it’ll be ready to go to the next step which is hooking the propane tank. Hope this helps.

      It’s all good. 😊 Questions are there to be asked. Well during my days in military service I’ve burned my hands few times and my hand senses aren’t as reactive before. So I find my fingers get cut a lot while trying to open boxes or doing sharp items involved work. About a year ago I almost lost a finger. Even after several months it’s still in the healing process. Thus, I try not to take chances anymore. 😁 Thanks for watching!

    Do you know of a metal hood that would fit this?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  2 года назад

      No, sir. Unfortunately I don’t. I’ve been using its semi plasticy cover since we got it. And it’s been keeping it clean. But then again I keep it inside my garage, so it doesn’t stay outdoors much at all. Only when I’m cooking I bring it outside. Thanks for watching!!

    Can you connect a big propane tank?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  2 года назад

      Very good question. I haven’t tried it myself to be honest. The main connector of the grill has a smaller coupler compared to what normally comes with larger propane tanks. Unless there’s a conversion adapter available it’s not possible to hook up the grill to a regular propane tank with its original connectors, unfortunately.

    • @FS552
      @FS552 2 года назад +5

      There is an adapter hose sold that connects to the griddle’s regulator and then to a 20lb or larger propane tank.
      The hose can be purchased on Amazon, target, Walmart or just about anywhere that sells camping equipmen.
      They are usually 4ft in length and are made by different companies and cost $15-$20.

      My cover leaks water onto grill in a rain.

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  Год назад

      Well that’s probably because either you got a hole somewhere in your cover or it’s getting through those ventilation holes that cover already has. There are some circle holes beneath those flaps on the cover to let air come in and out. So rain could be entering through those holes.

    What is the thread size of the propane inlet?

    • @SOBIsHobbies
      @SOBIsHobbies  2 года назад

      Unfortunately I don’t know the thread pitch numbers particularly. However, I can say that it uses Coleman’s 16 oz. / 453 g. (1 lb.) propane mini gas tank. Hope this helps.
