Thank you for the kind words, appreciated more than you know!! Fun to go back and watch the memories of an amazing trip and at the same time if this helps anyone else that's even better!!
I'm a fan of your content; your rides are breathtaking. 🛣 How about sharing your strategies for overcoming fatigue during those long motorcycle expeditions and maintaining fitness? Can't wait!
Wow....thank you for taking time to watch & comment, really means a lot!! I love to make these videos that have some extended clips to help the riding community be able to see what conditions are like!! That is a GREAT question and I'm glad you posted that, I will get on making that video and uploading!! Fitness is a huge part of me and my guys lives around riding and we talk about it frequently so I've got some great info I can share for what works for me. Thanks again and I'll work on getting that video up this week!!
I'm leaving for the COBDR in a few weeks. I'm interested in the route you took to stay off the pavement to the start of the dirt at the south end. I'm on a Tenere 700 and my buddy will be on a KLR650. I'm pretty nervous about the high passes.
Dude!! Have the best trip!! So my friend has a RUclips Channel - DansADV and he did a GREAT video of this exact trip of how to plan this entire thing, would love to point you to that to get incredible info!! All passes except Ophir are relatively easy, just keep good momentum and you will be fine even with luggage!! Happy riding man!!
I really love your stuff! I recently purchased a tiger 900 rally pro. But I also have a KTM 690 Enduro r which one of those two bikes would you recommend doing the bdr?
You are too kind, thank you!! I need to get some content out, been doing a lot of mountain biking!! I have a soft spot for the 690 platform on a bdr - so well suited for it!! The Tiger 900 is ‘doable’ but more of a fish out of water, especially if you like to do much more than gravel!!
Awesome vid! I am taking my Husky 501S versus my T7. I will be going solo in September. Would you recommend north to south or south to north and why? Thanks for posting video.
Brent, thank you so much for watching! I’m so glad you enjoyed the footage. My video is a little longer than most peoples, but I wanted to show some extended footage of what the trails are like this year so others can be better prepared! After riding the start from both ways two different years, I would highly suggest south to north! It just has so much of a better flow, traffic should also be heading the same direction as you, which makes it better as well. The loop out of Ouray is such a blast going south to north…Have the best trip!
Thank you!! Good for you!! I think July's weather would be so much more enjoyable ... if I had my pick I'd do Utah in September and CO in July!! Ride on 👊🏻
Thank you for the info; great tips and pics.
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment!!
Great vid! Very inspiring as well as informative!
You are so kind, thanks for watching and commenting!!
Thanks for putting this together. Your voiceover commentary was great, and allowing us to hear the bike was cool too.

What percent of the Colorado bdr is blacktop would you guess?
I’m so sorry I missed this!! Very little was Blacktop I’d say….a lot of easy gravel with great views but not much tarmac that I can remember!!
