Okay my lovely fellas in the comments. I see I need to be bit more precise here. Of course Jonny L is revered and respected. Especially by genre geeks, and people who are deeper into dnb. But go a head and ask about Mr L any casual dnb party goer, who truly loves this music but is not into exploring producers, labeles, subgenres ETC. I am pretty sure that majority won't know about him. Maybe some will recall Back To Your Roots due to the remixes by Friction, or will remember some old school XL stuff. Besides that he is not on socials, he is not dj'ing, a lot of his tunes are rather unconvetional and slightly obscure. When there are debates about favourite djs and producers I barely see people mentioning his name. This is why I said he is one of the most overlooked producers in the scene. It's not a disrespect, it's a fact. Personally I think he is great! And even though his tunes might not be appealing to everyone, he has a very unique style, and there is no doubt about that. I remember Bryan G playing this as his first tune on dubplate in a tiny room in Lakota Bristol (had like 6 rewinds)...totally flipped the scene on it's head.
