when I first heard this song j thought it was about being Gods of heavy metal, now I see the lyrics and I see it was about the machine uprising instead. funny, because many comments on their other songs refer to them as Metal Gods, for the opposite meaning.
Just like Black Sabbath's Iron Man, which was used as part of the soundtrack of the first Iron Man film and everyone thinks it's about him or at least a super-hero like him, when in reality is about a some sort of evil supervillain that wants to destroy makind.
I always loved Judas Priest and still do! My all time favorite is "Metal God's" I used to have a 400w 4channel Pioneer amplifier with 2 Fischer 15" 3ways speakers with 2 Pioneer 12" 3ways speakers stacked on top of the others and they almost went all the way up to the ceiling in my bedroom. The room was only like 10' by 8' room and I shook every window in the culdesac we lived on. Good good times! Now I'm just an old man paying bills and listening to a woman
I am proud to be be a Metal Sentinel. Judas Priest are the Metal Gods. Often copied, but counterfeits just like counterfeit bills. Though they maybe close you still want the real deal in your pocket.
That "reaped by robot scythes" line was something that had remained unintelligible to me ever since I first heard this song back in 1980. I finally decided to look up the actual lyrics of the whole song yesterday as a result. Ended up changing my whole perception of what this song was actually about. Now it is even MORE CLASSIC!
Hand's down, Rob is & always will be a better vocalist. Better gifted. Dickinson is better than Hetfield, both have great voices. More octave power with Halford any fu*king day or night of the week!!
This would have been a perfect song for any of the Terminator movies
I think So too :)
Yeah
Agreed 100% ✔
Ringo Starr's silverware sure sounds good in this song.
3:27 Love that 'chainsaw' guitar part that comes in...basically letting the world know 'aint nothing gonna stop this freight train'...heheh
This is where you do the Metal God walk.
Pppppppppppppñ
Loved Judas when they played this awesome song in Rockwave Festival in Greece last week. They are indeed the Metal Gods and will always be.
The line "From off I've seen my perfection" is actually "From what had seemed our perfection."
+Triple Dee "From off I've seen my" doesn't even make sense - yet it's on every lyric site I've seen?
+Triple Dee Also - "Better be the slaves" - doesn't make sense to me either. I think it's supposed to be "Bred to be the slaves"
❤

Its because it's both their official nicknames and also the singer Rob halford titles "The Metal God"
Just like Black Sabbath's Iron Man, which was used as part of the soundtrack of the first Iron Man film and everyone thinks it's about him or at least a super-hero like him, when in reality is about a some sort of evil supervillain that wants to destroy makind.
Needed the lyrics bad! Ty so much . Subbed

They warned us.
"our perfection" not "MY perfection" christ the error!
Best part is "reaped by metal scythes".
EDIT: the whole song is the best part.

Aerosmith only got 2 songs I like, Last Child and Nobodys Fault.
This song is heavily influenced by Aerosmith
It's "laser beaming hot," not "laser beaming heart."
