This is another great example of 3 good pals just enjoying the outdoors without pretense or posturing. The comaraderie and utter joy that you guys have while out in the forest together is not only immediately evident, but also inspiring and infectious. Thanks, Kevin, for always bringing honesty to your videos and for keeping things light and youthful, no matter our age. 🙏 Also, nice tent!
Love that your video's are not all beautiful woodland glades and stunning sunshine? There is that when it happens but you make no effort to gloss over or hide the real weather, you know the sort that happens in the real world! Wish I had the outstanding outdoor buddies you have!
" can't have nice weather all the time " .... I was once told there is no poor weather while in the woods, just poor clothing choices. Great trip and thanks for sharing 👍
Watching this at the hunting camp in Alberta. On the drive out through Wisconsin saw huge flocks of Sandhill cranes. Beautiful sight. I remember seeing them as a kid growing up in Northern Quebec. They disappeared for a long time, but have made quite the comeback. Will be making the drive home in a few days hopefully the great November weather hangs out in Northern Ontario. Thanks for the laughs
The options of setup especially with the steel ring loop without a pole is a good feature. Im looking at this shelter and also the Snowtrekker. Just picked up a Camp Chef Alpine wood stove and im committed to the shelter now.
Another great video. R Rated by Andy. It must have been the cold water. It was great to laugh for another 23 minutes. Nice to see Tim again. Great tent, thanks agin for the most fun paddling in 2024.
Hey Guys nice camp spot , set up and views around the lake . 3 good buddies together for a fall camp out, can't get much better than that , Your so comical together , Nice tent Tim, love the features excellent !. ,Andy's cot is cool. OMG you guys skinny dipping, lol the noises Tim was making lmao hate to say what it sounded like hahaa. , I had tears in my eyes gezz you three. .
I have the previous Esker. I use a bowl at the peak to spread out the force and protect the tent. I also had 8 aluminum poles made for it which makes things easier and more consistent to set up. Mind you this stuff has to be portaged. Good idea with the peak loop! It would be worth having a loop sewn on an earlier tent like mine because that middle pole really can cramp the space and flexibility for set up. Not using a pole is huge!
Glad you got out for one more paddle- love that new tent, debating on the same one and looked at the pull and moths flew out of wallet… so happy to see I’m not the only one that would make my own pole. Shockingly those cranes still around. I was also in school learning the increase of cranes in the area- neat how their feathers change based on diet… some interesting crane colors in the mine tailings- slimes of Kirkland Lake. Haven’t seen in Ontario - but I’m BC I lived beside a small mtn called Boar Mtn… every year cranes by the 100s would spiral over my pace in a thermal and with out a wing beat would sore away ❤. Bird nerds❤
Great Video! I have been looking at the Esker tents vs the Snowtrekker Divide that Wilderness Ridge is selling. I was curious how much experience you have with both in winter snow storms. Thanks for all you do! Love the videos!
I own both Esker and Snowtrekker. You can't go wrong with either. Both shed the wind and snow well. Snowtrekker differs by being a-framed and free standing. Esker is cheaper, especially if you live in Canada. However, I believe Lure of the North near Sudbury now sells them.
SnapOn tools have at least of a reputation of being fairly expensive but also brand loyal following by some mechanics. Couldn't find the price online but presuming they don't have an online presence with their mobile dealers that visit mechanic shops with the tool trucks. Don't know if their flashlight have replacement warranties like their tools but if your mechanic is a SnapOn fanatic, you might be able to barter or just gift to him/her for good grace gesture(if no one comes forward).

One naked man says to the other "are you all the way in". 😂😂
All in good fun. You guys crack me up. Cheers. 🥃
No broken axes... Just the way a trip should go!😅😢 Thanks for the laughs as always
Yeah I remember that from last year.lol All good.
LOL.

True statement for sure.
Oh my goodness guys. Your skinny dipping had me in stitches. Excellent reminder about shoulder season canoeing. Glad you had a good trip.
Thanks. I didn't really see the importance of that scene until I edited it.

Thanks for watching. I have b roll of our swim that no one will ever see LOL
Looks like a great trip, and a lot of fun.
That tent is brilliant! And the stick stove. I'm not too sure about skinny dipping in November, 🥶 but it's a damn good message for sure!
Thanks for watching.
there is something so fun about watching you guys get out together! thanks for sharing your lives with us!
Thanks. We certainly have fun out there.
Definitely good observation on the dangers of shoulder season - the fall as well as the spring. Often forget about the fall dangers
Cool. It was a subconscious remark and I liked it as well.
Aldo Leopold referred to the call of the Sandhill Crane as the " trumpet in the orchestra of evolution".
Love that statement.

lmao

The bowl is such a great idea!
@ Thanks, yes a small stainless bowl cheap at the dollarstore and in a pinch can be used for other things and is easy to pack.
I have heard Sandhill cranes are referred to as "ribeye of the sky" apparently they're very good tasting.
Never heard that. Thanks.
Hey Tim. Good to c u. I'm on the Tube now. camo camping and fun. I did subscribe. Mike and I will drop into the store some time. Cheers 🍻 bro
Yo guys ROCK! Looks like it will rain on my trip to Superior this weekend also! Good job guys! TY!
Have a great trip to Superior. It's an awesome place.
Omg you guys make me laugh, thanks guys I needed that 😂
You're welcome LOL
I enjoyed this Kevin. The tent looked great. I'm just getting into hot tent camping so this was great timing. Your filming looked great.
Thanks so much. You'll love hot tenting. It makes winter fun.
Sandhill cranes. Ribeye in the sky
Interesting...
I love camping in all four seasons too, but I think fall is best. Thanks for bringing us along, hope we’re accidental neighbours one of these days!
I absolutely love the fall season. No heat wave, no bugs...
Really enjoyed this video Kevin! Laughed the whole way through lol! I always love these videos when you're out camping with the gang!
Thanks. Laughter is good medicine

sand hill crane are Called the ribeye of the sky ! there meat looks like beef
I bought a ten tipi years ago and one thing I hate is the pole ! that's a great design upgrade by Esker
It definitely made a difference with space.
LOL... you wanna check me for leeches....

Wow, swimming in Nov.
No thanks but fun to watch.
Will you be doing a winter camping session with Frontenac Outfitters this year?
Yes. One is now set for Dec 7 i believe. More to come in 2025.
Couldnt you hang that from just 1 branch with that ring? I like the concept
I believe you could.

Thanks. I didn't know that about the brand. I hope the owner sees the clip.
@@TheHappyCamper Its kinda like Avon for Men.. LOL
