    I was on your website today and got excited when you mentioned an etsy shop, but guess things have been hectic for you and the family so no patterns for me to splurge on 😞

      I was selling my patterns at one point but then decided to give them away for free. It has definitely helped to grow the youtube channel.

    Thanks for the tip on the tape. I have been thinking about using my silhouette cutter to make filigree designs and laying them over the leather as a template but was concerned about it messing up the leather.

    Great project! I have watched nearly all of your videos now. I really enjoy your channel. Smaller, less expensive projects are appreciated.

    Loved this! But had to strain to see the stitching --kinda dark. The thing I run into is the the edges --even though exactly the same height, once stitching together at the seam one side is about a mm higher than the other --therein the same slight mis-match at the bottom.

    Thanks so much for the pattern! Can you give me any advice on printing it out? I've tried different settings on my computer and none of them end up being 2 inches on the rectangle.

    When you cut leather, do you do it standing the entire time or sitting down.

    • @BlackFlagLeatherGoods
      @BlackFlagLeatherGoods  10 месяцев назад

      I don't sit for any part of the process really. I only have a chair in my shop for when I'm talking to the camera.

    Is it necessary to do the seam at an angle? Or is that just a style thing?

    • @BlackFlagLeatherGoods
      @BlackFlagLeatherGoods  2 года назад

      Definitely not necessary. When I made the template, I first traced a cardboard sleeve from a coffee shop. Thats how the cardboard one was shaped when I pulled it apart.

    What weight leather do you use? I signed up for the copy of the pattern & haven’t received it yet. Thanks for the tutorial!

      Hey, Valerie! Thanks for watching!
      I generally use 4-5 oz leather which is a bit thicker than a lot of people use, but it's just the style I'm going for.
      Sorry I'm having issues with that feature on my website. If you email me I'd be happy to send you the template.

    What is the yellow plastic under the punch?

    • @BlackFlagLeatherGoods
      @BlackFlagLeatherGoods  3 года назад +1

      It's a rubber punching mat. It protects your chisels, punches, etc from getting damaged. This is the one I use: amzn.to/2NQ5QGS
