    Honestly I feel the most sad for Li. Saved the card by accepting a fight with someone 10 ponds heavier, didn’t get to show off his suit, disrespected, lost a co-main event spot, and arguably got robbed in his fight. Terrible.
    EDIT: D-Rod took Leeches number 14 rank and now Li Jingliang is unranked. The loss counted even though D-Rod was 10 pounds heavier. Totally fair.

      How is it a world class performance against a striker like Holland with absolutely 0 wrestling? Holland cut weight, Holland prepared for a striker while Khamzat ate and drank and had a jolly of a time.
      A world class performance would've been not to shoot when Holland tried to touch gloves. This was just a bully-match up with only one winner. Don't try to make it sound like a world-class performance. It was a joke, just like Diaz said.

    so far he’s shown that he doesn’t get intimidated by anyone really. fought a war against burns and still kept coming forward at a crazy pace the entire fight and finished everyone else with near flawless victories. his wrestling and grappling essentially nullifies anyone’s striking abilities and he forces everyone to go into defense mode instantly. i would love to see a fight with him against colby or costa next but i think they will end the same. the first few rounds he spends most of his energy but those are almost impossible to survive for fighters. burns must be just another level of a fighter to go the full distance with him.

      i think its because burns is the perfect matchup for khamzat since khamzat cant use wrestling to his full extent against burns (cautious of BJJ) not one fighter in 170/185 has BJJ close to burns or grappling on Khamzats level however i do believe that if he loses it will be through gassing out after his opponent survives 2 rounds

    Khamzat is an absolute monster, I hope he can learn to be a little

    What's really crazy is that Holland isn't bad on the ground. Yet that was a complete massacre. Chimaev is a bigger version of Khabib with far more speed too. There's nobody at 185 who can deal with that level of wrestling and submission skills. 170 isn't even fair.

    To say khamzat has done a heel turn is an understatement. Maybe it works out for him. And hopefully the UFC doesn't completely devolve into the WWF.

    Idk man. I feel like Khamzat was set up. They made him stop cutting weight so the Nate fight wouldn’t happen. Be honest with yourself people. We all love Nate, but the way he looked it would have been a massacre. Someone behind the scenes made them switch fights last minute

      the most thoughtful response to this situation. i completely agree with you. he can't even express himself properly so he's am easy target. i think he was setup too. he was instructed to stop the cut. which begs the question what prompted the doctor to tell him to stop

    All the hard dedication and grueling training that Holland and his whole camp put in to prepare for a fight, and not one single person told him to make sure not to touch gloves a 2nd time after the ref face-off? Unbelievable.

    Also when does a random UFC doctor turn up unannounced to stop a weight cut, they never care about that ish, we've seen people pass out on the scales or barely make it there
    Would explain why they let khamzat keep the full money too and Dana didn't seem that pissed with him, I think khamzat did the ufc a massive favour after Dana realised diaz stopped training and khamzat would devour him

      He didn’t show up unannounced… Khamzat was having issues cutting so they called a doctor up there to check him out… that’s when he “suggested” he should stop the cutting process and hydrate…

    i will get hate for saying this but yes ufc set that up. the weight miss was planned by them and it's documented how khamzat made weight easily in the fight island. this is beyond belief but yes ufc made him the bad guy and he's going to see it good.
    he's great but not indisciplined i think. no way it was not setup

      I think so too. Dana usually acts super pissed when a fighter misses weight even by a few but did not when Khamzat went over by so many lbs. Was just quick to introduce his "solution" instead

    Best thing for Diaz was not having to fight Khamzat. Card was improved by it and we didn’t have to see Diaz get mauled.

    Seems like khamzat was done dirty by UFC doctors
    Apparently he was close to cutting but doctors told him he needs to stop cutting and needs to eat and drink for his health which increased the difference

    Hate the week he had but I've never seen anyone like him in the sport. You're not supposed to fight without taking strikes as often as he does. I have 0 doubts he'll be a champion, and potentially a double champ.
