It's good on mobile killers or killers with reach like deathslinger or huntress since you can take advantage of the aura reading if they try to go into hiding after the explosion. Beyond that, it's not worth it because if they are far enough away they can recover the 10% loss and you just watch them do it with the aura reading LOL.

My preferred Wesker build is Nowhere to Hide, Eruption, Lethal Pursuer, and I’m All Ears. The aura reading means I’m almost always in chase, and the Eruption gives enough regression that I don’t get rushed too much.
The only thing I would say you missed mentioning in this video is the raw amount of progression that you slowed, between eruption and jolt - in the first game, you quite literally nuked the house generator from nearly complete to almost 0%, twice. It's not just about the aura reading ability, it's also still doing some nasty work every time you go for a chase and down someone!
Eruption is worth running if you're able to spare the time to kick gens. That is, if you have other gen kicking perks (like Nowhere To Hide) and you're not playing a killer that's too slow to get around kicking the gens, it's great.
Dude, thank you for these videos. One of my viewers recently gifted me this game. Super addicted now and your videos definitely help a LOT with learning everything. Cheers :)
My build that utilizes eruption also includes nowhere to hide, lethal persuer, and dead lock. I think its a fun build. I havent played it enough to know if its actually worth using in the build. The regresion isnt enough imo. Also I think running both gearhead and eruption are bad together. Gearheads going to be going off all the time so your going to see auras on gens. Which is exactly where the eruption auras are going to be Edit: its not good on slower killers. I think its ok on high mobility or killers that can spread pressure, but not awesome.
@@Khoobus Its a universal build. Each perk works with all killers. I'm going to be testing it on all of them but im still not convinced eruptions worth running.
Is it though? I mean yes, getting broken from infection does proc it. But that's 4 procs from reaching full infection, after which you only get gearhead value when you down survivors. And even that value is reduced because during that 30 seconds you would most probably be hooking recently downed survivor At least if I read it correctly. Assuming survivors don't cleanse
Eruption was op with incapacitated. Its most definitely still worth running as it can be preemptive with other gen kick perks or just generally good with jolt. And unlike pop you just need to down a survivor so even if they wiggle or get saved you still got value.
This is also a great build to eat through a survivor’s distortion if they have it. Eruption alone, eats two stacks of distortion due to the aura reading of it being 12 seconds and a Distortion token being only 10. Add Gearhead on top and distortion is effectively gone.
this is really close to the build I mained on most killers for a while. I just ran lethal instead of gearhead, but you made gearhead look a bit more appealing to me.
I still think its good on certain killers. And actually more fun to use. Ive been using a build of Gearhead, Eruption, Surveillance, and BBQ on Artist and it really helps to make longshots since i see where theyre going even after the bird visuals disappear.
I feel like with all the aura reading abilities this would be a great build for say, huntress. It felt like these matches you saw where they were most of the time.

I said this way back, even a few months before Eruption got changed. I genuinly felt that Eruption, Overcharge, Call of Brine and by extension Oppression were fine *as individual perks*. If I saw a person one or two of them it was "Oh, well gens are gunna be difficult but oh well!" Its the combination of the 3 and the fact that they *stacked*. That is what made it miserable. A simple "From now on, only one perks generator regression effect can be applies to a generator at a time. If a new instance of regression is applied, the new instance overwrites a previously applied perk effect. All non-regression effects are still applied simultaneously" To elaborate on what I mean, let's use the old "ECO" Gen regression build: Eruption, Call of Brine(CoB) and Overcharge(OC). Example of only one instance of gen regression applying: Killer kicks gen > the game prioritized CoB's regression effect due to it being a higher value. The game *does not* apply OC's ramp up regression effect BUT still applies the difficult skill check. Furthermore, the "New instances of regression effects overwrite prior instances" is if the killer gets a down WHILE CoB and Eruption are still active on a gen - Eruption pop's the gen and "erases" CoB from said generator. Eruption's standard regression is applied. I do understand the frustration everyone had with the 25sec Incapacitation effect. It sucked to have it, I truly feel that dropping it to 12sec would have been a reasonable nerf. I do think Eruption is just as good if you are good at applying pressure to gens! You showcased that VERY well! Losing the 25sec of what boils down to inactivity does hurt but it was for the longevity and healt of the game. The perks themselves just should have never been able to stack in general and, as I said, that is where the "OP" aspect and disgust came from.

I would say eruption could be a balanced perk by doing a 5-10% regression, and survivors instead of incap, get a repair speed penalty of 5-10% for x amount of time
Honestly, it's so weird seeing Gearhead after it being considered one of the worst killer info perks. I think as a QoL feature it could use a sound-effect when it's triggered like Alert or Distortion. Also, even though Eruption isn't anywhere near as strong as it once was, it's as if people think it's detrimental to run the perk now because it isn't just extremely annoying to go against (Old eruption wasn't even OP. It was just annoying AF and borderline OP when against solo teams)
The perks are fire up, jolt, merciless storm and lethal pursuer. Add ons are fragrant tuft of hair and j.myers memorial. It’s a really fun build and is honestly very powerful
New Eruption is still a good perk, but it was nerfed a little too hard imo. Replacing incapacitated with aura-read was a good change, but the nerf to 10% gen regression was too much (particularly with Pain Res being nerfed as hard as it was). I think a 12% gen regression buff would be nice to round off the Eruption + Jolt combo to 20%.
Hey spooks!got the game today, as well as license to gf and nemy. How do I get perks to other killers? Also Tryna see what basic builds to go fore in general
once you prestige a character (survivor or killer) their perks unlock for other characters. 1st prestige unlocks the level 1 version of the perk, 2nd prestige unlocks the level 2 version of the perk, and 3rd prestige unlocks the level 3 version of the perk. but you don't need to get your killer to prestige 3 to have the level 3 version of the perk (although it's better imo). since you unlock the perk after you prestige any character, you just need to level it up in the blood web for your other characters. that being said, it's a very long grind to unlock all of the perks now, and the terrible RNG of the shrine of secrets doesn't help you either. just play the game consistently and you'll unlock all the killer perks (if you get all of the DLC). i have just over 600 hours and i have all of the killer perks unlocked and about 40% of survivor perks unlocked (im a killer main). hope this helped man.

@@SpookyLoopz Ok ty will try that 😄🤟🏾
@@SpookyLoopz What other killer would you recommend as well to eventually unlock I was thinking of Artist for her gen perk and tracking ability Trickster for No Way Out Clown for Pop The Weasel not exactly sure what I should get 😄🤟🏾
@@John--3-16 seriously get killer you like best. In my opinion Oni, Deathslinger and Wesker is a lot of fun. But it all differs from playstyle. Do you like killers that need to plan ahead set traps and play for lategame or do you just want to go in? Go stealthy? If you don’t care about the killer itself but only want to go for perks then you should get killers that have atleast 2 decent perks you can use for most of your killers. Trickster for example has no way out and starstruck. And you could use starstruck agitation + awakened awareness together to create a cool fun build. Artist also has good perks. But seriously just go for what you feel like and look from there. But don’t spend money if you don’t need to.
@@deadbymeme2311 Ty there are like 8-9 Killer I'm interested in but Artist Trickster and Clown that I can think of are at the top I rely on visual and slowing gens down since I can't use my ears but I like stealthy and getting in there I just prestige Ghostface so will be trying out stealthy for first time Ghostface seem interesting 😄🤟🏾
Tbh i miss old old eruption, like, when it was first released into the game old. The incapacitation effect was chill enough that i could hit all 3 of the last gens for some funny hahas but not feel bad about it.
Only thing I need in life now is 2h long looped video of DJ Nemesis
2 weeks later
Spookyloopz, scott, and pixel- nerf eruption omg
Have you try Dragon's Grip ?
I would say eruption could be a balanced perk by doing a 5-10% regression, and survivors instead of incap, get a repair speed penalty of 5-10% for x amount of time
may I ask for you to add a brightness filter, I cant see crap since its sunny today
A build that makes Freddy viable?
Not possible 😢
This video was more about Gearhead than anything else. I've had 9/10 games killers use this perk.
eruption stacks with jolt?
Nice video, I’be got a Micheal myers build that I think would offer a really interesting video
The perks are fire up, jolt, merciless storm and lethal pursuer. Add ons are fragrant tuft of hair and j.myers memorial. It’s a really fun build and is honestly very powerful
maybe eruption with one hit killers like billy and fast gen kicks brutal streght
This is why nobody gonna pry distortion from my cold dead hands
New Eruption is still a good perk, but it was nerfed a little too hard imo. Replacing incapacitated with aura-read was a good change, but the nerf to 10% gen regression was too much (particularly with Pain Res being nerfed as hard as it was). I think a 12% gen regression buff would be nice to round off the Eruption + Jolt combo to 20%.
Gearhead is pretty good now TBH but I really wish the color of the gens and survivors weren't so similar.
ill use this on demogorgon, but with save the best for last instead of gearhead
@@jweezy324u i appreciate your help
@@alanwiseman3235 also, as far as builds go. here's otzdarvas spreadsheet for viable builds for killers, and it's regularly updated. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uk0OnioNZgLly_Y9pZ1o0p3qYS9-mpknkv3DlkXAxGA/edit#gid=1886110215
JimJamm? That's a deep cut out of the Mr. Show cake.
I've come to a point where I don't use the gen regression and just accept that BHVR wants gens to fly
Switch gearhead with brutal strength, use legions add on that whenever you kick or destroy something the time stops
Use the green add on which makes all of them broken. Hardcore gern regression.
I hope i don't have to face the build i commented here.
JimJams ecstatic right now
I think they should add the incapacitation back on to eruption- just at a lesser amount, so like 8 seconds or something. 20 was fucking ridiculous
Really good gen build if you keep them eyes peeled
congratulations on 500k
I like how the Jane used an escape cake🎂 Then dc's and is like nah I'll just take 0 points and a 5 minute penalty. LOL. 😂
Its a spite kind of play lol.
