Maria Lisogorskaya on Designing Assemble Studio's Spaces for Creativity and Collaboration

Assemble is a multi-disciplinary collective working across architecture, design and art. Founded in 2010 to undertake a single self- built project, the studio has since delivered a diverse and award-winning body of work, whilst retaining a democratic and co-operative working method that enables built, social and research-based work at a variety of scales, both making things and making things happen. As a founding director of this architecture, art and design collective, Maria Lisogorskaya's projects range from the scales of product and material prototyping, to architectural design and organizational strategy. She is currently working with Material Institute in New Orleans, developing the arts curriculum and new alternative education campus; and is one of the leading designers delivering new spaces for the Luma Atelier, regional material r&d innovation labs in Arles, France. Lisogorskaya was the Assemble Visiting Professor of Architecture in EPFL Switzerland 2020-2021, and has previously taught Masters of Architecture at the Vienna TU and Central Saint Martins in London. Assemble has just been elected to the Royal Academy.

Un colectivo multidisciplinar que trabaja a través de la arquitectura, el diseño y el arte. Fundado en 2010 para llevar a cabo un proyecto autogestionado, Assemble ejecutó desde entonces un conjunto de obras diverso y galardonado, conservando un método de trabajo democrático y cooperativo que permite construcciones materiales, sociales y de investigación en diversas escalas, tanto haciendo cosas como haciendo que las cosas sucedan. María es la directora fundadora del colectivo de arquitectura, arte y diseño Assemble. Sus proyectos van desde la creación de prototipos de productos y materiales, hasta el diseño arquitectónico y de estrategia organizacional. Actualmente, María está trabajando en el MaterialInstitute de Nueva Orleans, desarrollando el plan de estudios de arte y el nuevo campus de educación alternativa; y es una de las principales
diseñadoras para el Luma Atelier,
laboratorio de innovación de materiales regional de r&d en Arles, Francia. María fue la Assemble Visiting Professor of Architecture en EPFL en Suiza 2020-2021, y anteriormente ha impartido la Maestría en Arquitectura en la Universidad Técnica de Viena y Central Saint Martins en Londres.
