- A few decades ago, the Maharaj Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja from India showed his kindness and generosity by rescuing stranded Polish children and giving them a home in India.
Today, many Ukrainians, including Ukrainian Hindus and others, are displaced and need help.
Many of these Dharmic Ukrainians even refer to India as their spiritual home. Should India come forward to do more for these victims of war?
Oleg Torgalo is the head of the ‘Ukraine-India Association’, and is a well-known personality in Ukraine. In his country, Ukraine, he has been running an Ayurveda business and has also been involved in many Dharmic activities. He practices 'Gaudiya Vaishnavism' and is deeply connected to India.

Karolina, you are doing a great job and I am going to take a leaf out of your book.
Nobody wants a war. Even Russia is being affected by it economically and even their military casualties will be there. But, Putin was helpless to take this step as NATO continued the expansion and aggression. Russia considers it a threat to its security if NATO forces station in Ukraine. I saw a woman trying to quarrel with an armed Russian soldier, but he was not responding. There are no civilian casualties because if they would have been Western media would surely reflect them high. Russian soldiers are operating in a very aim-oriented way as if operating on their own land. It made me think of as if Indian Army in Kashmir. Peace to all!

True but let's just carefully dissect this requirement (as of now) ....... the support by both sides to each other is *purely strategic* . India is one among the largest countries (by landmass and pop.) in the world plus a great market for Russian weapon and crude oil exports. Russia has been sanctioned multiple times by the west and they are used to it. So what would they do to overcome another ? Ensure that they have a market aside from the major ones they deal with and that market happens to be India and China primarily. If India ever became independent in the energy and defense sectors, just watch reaction by Russians. Soviets, French, British and Americans all together had tried to arm-twist and long halt the project of the Cryogenic engine which was being developed by ISRO from it's previous experience with the French Viking Engine. This they did by spreading a false propaganda through the congress Govt. and jailing the leading scientist Shri Nambi Narayanan - exposing him to inhumane torture.... It did stop our progress which if not halted would have made us space leaders wouldn't it have ? Emotions don't play a role in geopolitics which I think you may already know. These top sided news reports are just gimmicks - they are hardly any percentage trustworthy. Having said this, it doesn't mean India shouldn't play it's cards - *IT MUST* ! *National interests in front of all* .
