@@TechnicallyTexan I don't feel like the original was devoid of ANY black features. In other words, I don't think she's a white Barbie with darker skin. Her ethnic features are just not nearly as prominent as those on the 40th. I do think the 40th one is more beautiful than the original.

So cute! I just got the original 1979 Black Barbie in the mail yesterday! I wanna debox her so bad but she's so beautiful inside it too, I love the 40th anniversary one too she's so fabulous! But I'm a sucker for the superstar era barbies. Great review!

There IS a difference between the basic model muse body and the curvy model muse body, but not much (not as much, say, as the difference between the basic fashionista body and the curvy fashionista body).

The original comes out of and goes back into the box pretty well if that helps.
