    As of September 2021:
    Daytone costs Rs40
    Camlin costs Rs20
    Parker costs Rs80
    All these inks are just fine, not great not terrible. There are superior quality inks in the market but they come at a premium. For the price, these inks are pretty good.

    Daytone has water resistance to a certain extent, Parker Quink doesn't have that.
    So, Daytone can be considered for fine and extrafine nibs since it would also have negligible bleed through and feathering.

    • @JohnR-fc7vr
      @JohnR-fc7vr Год назад

      In India why is the entire mass so over-obsessed with water resistance?
      1) Think about the flow also. Which ink won't clog the pen.
      2) Which ink will flow smoothly. Which will make the pen write smoothly.
      3) Which will make it rough. Which one clogs the pen after few days.
      Are these questions not important? Think whether you are okay with an ink which is water resistant but it will leave a residue and spoil your pen is it.

    I haven't used Dayton inks so i wouldn't comment on that, however if you want to use athe parker quink then go for the black ink it is a better option, as for the blue it flows and perform really well and better than much more expensive inks in all the pens i have tried but the main problem is the colour its not the best blue and it fades in a few days and doesn't look good at all.
    If someone is searching for an Indian made blue ink try Krishna lyrebird inks, they are really good. If you want cheaper options then Bril is a good choice.

    Interesting. Camlin ( Kokuyo Camlin now) costs Rs.25 for the bottle of 60 ml in the neighbourhood shops. On line, they charge much more.
    Daytone is available in a superior version also- priced higher. It is not available in local shops- we have to order online for a bundle of 15 colours.
    One common problem with all blue inks in India is that they are not bluish enough!
    Quink royal blue is washable- the writing will fade after some time.
    You have not considered one old Indian brand: Bril.
    Bril has been in the market since around 1964. I am using this ink since 1964. It flows free, dries quick, does not clog or dry in the pen. I have used this ink on all sorts of pens and filling systems- it has done well. You should try this ink also, as also Sulekha from Kolkata. It is also a famous brand of India.

    • @nanjappa42
      @nanjappa42 4 года назад

      @@Pentrove You can order Bril ink online from: brilindia.com.
      They have inks of 8 colours. Each bottle of 60ml costs Rs.25 . It would cost much more on other eshops. But the minimum value of the order on bril online is Rs. 500. So you may visit their web site and see.all their products.
      Sulekha is available only in Kolkata. It was a well respected brand- used by many national leaders in the past. The company went through some problems. It is reported to have revived its ink business. You may have to get Sulekha ink through your friends in Kolkata.

      Parker quink blue-black is not officially sold in India, thus he can't make that comparison unless he imports it, and that generally puts the cost upwards of 35-40usd , from what I've seen online though, the blue black quink is more favoured that the blue quink.

      @@avinashprasad2535 I agree with you, the parker blue-black is not easily available and the cost in market and on Amazon it's too expensive, but it's the only ink that I like coz in 80's when I was in school I like to write with it, At first I started using pilot blue ink which is waterproof and good color and than I got jinhao deep blue which is close to blue-black ... Thank you Avinash for the comment.

      Hi Uttam,
      From low priced inks you can for Parker Or Bril. With bril you can get more colour options too.
      For mid range price you can go for Sheaffer(price range btwn 400-500 Rs)
      And then there are imported costlier inks like Lamy, Diamine, etc
      Hope this helps

    Why the heck did I even watch this video! It's a noob test! (you only use one drop of ink for chromatograph)
    Tbh the only issue I had with camlin is that it fades away with time and you can't even read your written text after 1 year.
    Parker is best in that regard.

    Bril ink is way better than Quink. Quink blue is such a useless ink that it's ridiculous how costly it is, compared to Bril. Daytone is an OK OK ink. I hate the smell coming from Daytone inks. I have 16 colors from Daytone and I only love their torquoise blue.
