The membrane should be applied from the bottom to the top, so the rain water naturally runs down on the outside of the wall

One thing that keeps me worried about you guys are your shoes! A big recommendation would be to get some safety ones! Working in such conditions with the types of shoes you wear is super dangerous! Every time I see you in clogs my heart sinks to my heals a bit! 😅 protect yourself now, your future selves will thank you! Imagine slipping and hurting yourself, you might steal the ability of mobility for the rest of your lives! Sending lots of love from a fellow Baltic’s girl (Lithuania). Take care of each other ❤

@@KayInMaine , and wind barrier or weeds is fine but what about water, cold and snow , it does nothing for those . That roof will leak on the sides especially around the windows destroying the main beams that support the floor. These kids are just doing what they can to make content and need to know how to actually do it right.

In New England here in America, we call that kind of window a "witch's window". Should you build a tiny "roof" over each window just to doubly keep the rain out? It's gonna be great when you two are done with the barn.

Guys, if you could put something like a bit of painter’s tape or a temporary sticker on the big windows (till they get a tad of dust on them), you don’t want birds to break their necks in them, they don’t understand what glass is poor things and try to fly through it.
Also, David, that wind barrier looked like a Bal3nciaga jacket on you☺️

You have updated, repaired and added so much to your home and buildings. That increased the value of your home and land.
