Personally, I think that the Shadows are a manifestation of 2 of the tragedies of the franchise. Shadow Freddy being a manifestation of The Crying Child's death and the events leading up to it, and RWQ being a manifestation of William's wrong doings. This is why we always see Shadow Freddy take on the form of some variant of Fredbear/Golden Freddy, but the thing with RWQ taking on the form of a Bonnie is where I'm stumped, as he SHOULD be taking on the form of a Spring Bonnie animatronic. The only way I could see it working is the head in the backroom in Fnaf 4's minigames, or RWQ isn't a manifestation of William's actions, and is, based on Conner's discovery of the word "Fitzgerald" showing up in one of his decoded cyphers, rather a manifestation of the Fitzgerald's tragedy, making all of the Jeremys related, and possibly making Shadow Freddy the manifestation of ALL of the Afton's tragedies, taking on the form of Fredbear for some unknown reason, possibly saying that Crying Child died first out of all the Aftons.
The thing about rxq he wouldnt be a manifestation of Jeremy Fitzgerald tragedy as he survived the bite of 87 and in hide and seek fazbear frights it revealed shadow bonnie is agony that feeds on negative emotion which is why we see him in fnaf ar he feeding off the agony remement he more the manifestation of agony caused by the 2 sets of murders of children that William caused the mci and dci mci possessed the originals/withered while the dci which is from fnaf 2 where body are just littered on floor not stuffed in suits the agony gave birth to shadow bonnie aka the combined manifestation of children agony who lives were cut short

Shadow Bonnie, to me, is the embodiment of remnant, always being around when you collect remnant in FNaF AR. We know that remnant is liquid soul, so RXQ could easily be the manifestation or amalgamation of tortured souls

what i think about shadow bonnie is the thought that he is the protector of remnant as in fnaf ar he appears if you grab shadows whilst attempting to obtain remnant, this also makes more sense when you realise that in fnaf 3 when you attempt the final minigame to the true ending he is your character who helps appeal the soul of a child, this could prove his true purpose.

The fact that two springlock costumes caused so much pain, agony, fear, tears and death made two spirits embodying two dangerous costumes materialize in real world. Yes, RWQFSFASXC doesn't look like Spring Bonnie. But he has a set of teeth different from Toy Bonnie. Scott probably had FNaF 3 idea in mind during FNaF 2 but could not decide on the exact design for that moment. So, he used models he already had for Withered Golden Freddy and Toy Bonnie. And, as you know, Scott never changes character models so drastically after they are included in a game. Lore-wise we can simply state that ghosts and spirits can simply change their appearance, similarly to Golden Freddy, a ghostly suit, while shadows are entirely spirits, obviously they might be even more mystical than a costume with a power of two souls. I can't say anything on XOR as I don't consider her to be 100% canonical due to her being created by Cassidy to torture William. This works similarly for Nightmare Mangle, Jack-O-Chica and Nightmarionne, which were confirmed to be non-canonical yet they still appeared in UCN. Probably, XOR was added simply for gameplay purposes
My theory is a mix. I think that c.c. Originally possessed golden Freddy. When Cassidy was introduced inevitably they had an argument (hurting afton?). C.c eventually found a way to eject themselves from golden Freddy resulting in shadow Freddy. Shadow Bonnie on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. They were a coworker in Fred bears diner (let’s call them Steve for now) . For whatever reason, the spring locks came off, killing Steve. Since spring lock animatronics need a human in them to move, Steve couldn’t. Afton brought the spring Bonnie suit with him to fazbears leaving it in the back room. Steve saw all of the killings through the eyes of spring Bonnie. When afton died, however, they both possessed the same thing, and likely fought almost immediately. Steve ejected themselves from spring trap, and took on a toy Bonnie like look as to not be associated with afton.
Interesting theory. To me shadow Bonnie is the most odd of any other FNaF character because unlike Shadow Freddy and Shadow DD, Shadow Bonnie is clearly the most important of the three to the lore. I haven't seen the FNAF 3 Shadow Bonnie minigame but from what I've seen on the wiki, Shadow Bonnie appears to be a protagonist in it but what's strange is that they seem to act as an antagonist in pretty much everything else. In FNAF AR Shadow Bonnie appears when you collect too much Shadow remnant which seems to be a more evil version of reminant and remnant is created from strong emotions and it seems as though Shadow Bonnie is made of Shadow remnant suggesting it is an evil entity however apparently in a FNAF 3 mini game he appears to be assisting the puppet who we know is good. And another thing with that many game is he appears as a purple glitchy rabbit so people associate him with glitch trap except that doesn't fit with the timeline at all so that means we have two different evil shadowy glitchy rabbits in the series that are completely different characters. And then finally the weirdest part about this character for me is the fact that it's a toy Bonnie and not any other Bonnie which suggests an affiliation with the toy animatronics
Fnaf 2 takes place before fnaf 3, a few years before william got spring locked, and shadow bonnie is still there, they probably don't or never had possesed the same suit of afton, but they still probably hate afton and still probably if they ever were human, they were killed by springlocks.
Maybe they are the temporary suits Phone Guy mentioned in night 4 of FNAF 3. He also mentioned that they were found on very short notice and questions about them being appropriate and relevant should be deflected

I have a theory about shadow bonnie, I believe it’s a child that got killed by toy Bonnie. And don’t say, “WhAt aBouT tHe pRoTecTioN LoCk” because if you remember, William tampered with it. And I believe that toy bonnie had a malfunction that caused him to kill a child. And due to the amount of control the workers had on the animatronics, the child wasn’t able the posses him, so he became a shadowy spirt, keeping the form of Toy Bonnie
doubt it, william didn't tamper with any of them, the character we play as in fnaf 2 did, and he is for a fact not william, at this point in time william is sealed of in a backroom as springtrap in another location I believe, and its stated in fnaf 2 the animatronics are fine with kids, but with adults they were not.

I think Shadow Freddy is actually the remnant of the crying child after the bite of 83 William Afton(or Herry Emily) after seeing his son in a coma he goes to Fredbear & destroy him till he’s nothing but loose part. Then after C.C dies instead of following the agony of what killed him because of what his father did his remnant made a recreated vision of his nightmares mostly Nightmare (from FNAF 4) and made a purple vision of his nightmares and the one that destroyed his Eternal home. I think shadow Freddy is an actual suit, appearing FNAF 2 and 3. Probably to represent the bite of 83 and cc in either a remnant form or a physical form. Shadow Bonnie on the other hand seems to be a form of remnant either representing some of the lore and wrong deeds behind FNAF 2 or just past remnant from previous deaths
I think that the reason that the shadows would look like withered golden Freddy and toy Bonnie is because golden Freddy was originally Fredbear and the only fredbear suit left was golden freddy so shadow freddy became more like golden freddy and for shadow Bonnie it could be that toy Bonnie was also made with parts of a spring Bonnie suit and that’s why shadow Bonnie would look like toy Bonnie but that’s just a theory a game theory

Shadow bonnie is my favorite animatronic, and the fact that they are so unknown and mysterious yet no one talks about them anymore and hardly get recognized just confuses me.
I've always believed them to be springlock victims, tied to the various Freddy's locations by their agony and by a desire to watch over and guard the children William killed. Moreso, I believe Shadow Bonnie is Eleanor from the FNaF novels, given the fact that she's behind the events of Hide & Seek (which stars RXQ) and the fact that she's tied to agony, while the AR game ties SB to "Dark Remnant", which I headcanon to be another name for agony

I personally believe these things about them: Shadow Freddy is based off of golden freddy, who is 'withered' Fredbear. '83 Bite Victim died in Fredbear and so possessed him,but when Cassidy died he was pushed out. Unsure why he would be since I personally disregard the aging thing as applying to the games, but maybe some animatronics can only hold one child. Shadow Bonnie may look like Toy Bonnie, but they didn't have Springtrap/Springbonnie assets so they used Toy Bonnie. I'm not sure who died, but it's possible someone with the last name Fitzgerald died in there, whether that was Jeremy or a relative, which could explain why he decided to work there. The two are undoubtedly connected, spring suits, maybe possessed by bite victims... Also, designs have changed several times, for instance, Afton and Springtrap, same animatronic, different designs. So Golden Freddy & Fredbear, and Springbonnie & RXQ can easily be the same character. They prob kept it's design the same just for consistency. And remember, FNaF 1-8 are canonically games iirc.
I think the shadow animatronics could still be springlock victims, just not victims of the known suits. I don’t think the only suits are the springtrap and Fredbear we see on stage. There could easily be more suits, designed somewhat differently. These would be smaller and lighter than the ones on stage, who would probably only come down for special occasions. It’s sort of like how Chuck E Cheese has both a costumed employee and an animatronic (but less safe). The design for Freddy could’ve been based on the design of Shadow Freddy’s spring lock suit, and similar for Toy Bonnie. It’s not exact for either, since obviously Freddy and Toy Bonnie are not spring locks and Toy Bonnie has different teeth.

I believe that the Shadows are hallucinations, like the phantom animatronics. In fnaf 2 there is toy bonnie and golden freddy so the shadows could be hallucinations of them, as Toy Bonnie and golden freddy are in the same game as RWQFSFASXC and Shadow Freddy are. fnaf has little design consistency when it comes to lore, so the fact that their designs arent similar disproving them not being victims of the suits doesnt work theres still much solid evidence to disprove it tho
I have no idea what they could be, but I have an idea on how they kill you. They crash your game, sure, but I think this represents causing something in the brain. Like an aneurysm. They have some sort of dark power over you that can physically harm you if you’re exposed too long.

This works similarly for Nightmare Mangle, Jack-O-Chica and Nightmarionne, which were confirmed to be non-canonical yet they still appeared in UCN. Probably, XOR was added simply for gameplay purposes

My theory is a mix. I think that c.c. Originally possessed golden Freddy.
When Cassidy was introduced inevitably they had an argument (hurting afton?). C.c eventually found a way to eject themselves from golden Freddy resulting in shadow Freddy.
Shadow Bonnie on the other hand, is a bit more complicated.
They were a coworker in Fred bears diner (let’s call them Steve for now) . For whatever reason, the spring locks came off, killing Steve. Since spring lock animatronics need a human in them to move, Steve couldn’t.
Afton brought the spring Bonnie suit with him to fazbears leaving it in the back room. Steve saw all of the killings through the eyes of spring Bonnie. When afton died, however, they both possessed the same thing, and likely fought almost immediately. Steve ejected themselves from spring trap, and took on a toy Bonnie like look as to not be associated with afton.
Interesting theory. To me shadow Bonnie is the most odd of any other FNaF character because unlike Shadow Freddy and Shadow DD, Shadow Bonnie is clearly the most important of the three to the lore. I haven't seen the FNAF 3 Shadow Bonnie minigame but from what I've seen on the wiki, Shadow Bonnie appears to be a protagonist in it but what's strange is that they seem to act as an antagonist in pretty much everything else. In FNAF AR Shadow Bonnie appears when you collect too much Shadow remnant which seems to be a more evil version of reminant and remnant is created from strong emotions and it seems as though Shadow Bonnie is made of Shadow remnant suggesting it is an evil entity however apparently in a FNAF 3 mini game he appears to be assisting the puppet who we know is good. And another thing with that many game is he appears as a purple glitchy rabbit so people associate him with glitch trap except that doesn't fit with the timeline at all so that means we have two different evil shadowy glitchy rabbits in the series that are completely different characters. And then finally the weirdest part about this character for me is the fact that it's a toy Bonnie and not any other Bonnie which suggests an affiliation with the toy animatronics
Fnaf 2 takes place before fnaf 3, a few years before william got spring locked, and shadow bonnie is still there, they probably don't or never had possesed the same suit of afton, but they still probably hate afton and still probably if they ever were human, they were killed by springlocks.

The fact that Circus Baby and seemingly the Funtime animatronics existed back in 1983 but the missing children incident happening 2 years later makes no sense to me if the Endosceletons of the Funtime animatronics are the OG animatronics endos melted together, INCLUDING the souls

I have a theory about shadow bonnie, I believe it’s a child that got killed by toy Bonnie. And don’t say, “WhAt aBouT tHe pRoTecTioN LoCk” because if you remember, William tampered with it. And I believe that toy bonnie had a malfunction that caused him to kill a child. And due to the amount of control the workers had on the animatronics, the child wasn’t able the posses him, so he became a shadowy spirt, keeping the form of Toy Bonnie
doubt it, william didn't tamper with any of them, the character we play as in fnaf 2 did, and he is for a fact not william, at this point in time william is sealed of in a backroom as springtrap in another location I believe, and its stated in fnaf 2 the animatronics are fine with kids, but with adults they were not.

after the bite of 83 William Afton(or Herry Emily) after seeing his son in a coma he goes to Fredbear & destroy him till he’s nothing but loose part. Then after C.C dies instead of following the agony of what killed him because of what his father did his remnant made a recreated vision of his nightmares mostly Nightmare (from FNAF 4) and made a purple vision of his nightmares and the one that destroyed his Eternal home.

Shadow Bonnie is a lot like toy Bonnie so What I think is that JR’s was open a little earlier (Just like MatPat said in his FNAF timeline) so while work on JR’s they used spring locks to test out (This is before the bite of 83) and they used it on toy Bonnie but something went wrong and it spring lock one of the employees and then William found out and destroy it but since the soul was free early then the others the employee’s remnant Shaped into what it was killed in.

I think shadow Freddy is an actual suit, appearing FNAF 2 and 3. Probably to represent the bite of 83 and cc in either a remnant form or a physical form. Shadow Bonnie on the other hand seems to be a form of remnant either representing some of the lore and wrong deeds behind FNAF 2 or just past remnant from previous deaths
I think that the reason that the shadows would look like withered golden Freddy and toy Bonnie is because golden Freddy was originally Fredbear and the only fredbear suit left was golden freddy so shadow freddy became more like golden freddy and for shadow Bonnie it could be that toy Bonnie was also made with parts of a spring Bonnie suit and that’s why shadow Bonnie would look like toy Bonnie but that’s just a theory a game theory

I've always believed them to be springlock victims, tied to the various Freddy's locations by their agony and by a desire to watch over and guard the children William killed. Moreso, I believe Shadow Bonnie is Eleanor from the FNaF novels, given the fact that she's behind the events of Hide & Seek (which stars RXQ) and the fact that she's tied to agony, while the AR game ties SB to "Dark Remnant", which I headcanon to be another name for agony
There just agony from the murders molded into the shape of bonnie and as for freddy it agony from william actions hide and seek from fazbear frights even confirms this and the fact fnaf ar remement operates much like agony and shadow bonnie is a agony remement guardian
I personally believe these things about them:
Shadow Freddy is based off of golden freddy, who is 'withered' Fredbear. '83 Bite Victim died in Fredbear and so possessed him,but when Cassidy died he was pushed out. Unsure why he would be since I personally disregard the aging thing as applying to the games, but maybe some animatronics can only hold one child.
Shadow Bonnie may look like Toy Bonnie, but they didn't have Springtrap/Springbonnie assets so they used Toy Bonnie. I'm not sure who died, but it's possible someone with the last name Fitzgerald died in there, whether that was Jeremy or a relative, which could explain why he decided to work there.
The two are undoubtedly connected, spring suits, maybe possessed by bite victims...
Also, designs have changed several times, for instance, Afton and Springtrap, same animatronic, different designs. So Golden Freddy & Fredbear, and Springbonnie & RXQ can easily be the same character. They prob kept it's design the same just for consistency. And remember, FNaF 1-8 are canonically games iirc.

I think the shadow animatronics could still be springlock victims, just not victims of the known suits. I don’t think the only suits are the springtrap and Fredbear we see on stage.
There could easily be more suits, designed somewhat differently. These would be smaller and lighter than the ones on stage, who would probably only come down for special occasions. It’s sort of like how Chuck E Cheese has both a costumed employee and an animatronic (but less safe). The design for Freddy could’ve been based on the design of Shadow Freddy’s spring lock suit, and similar for Toy Bonnie. It’s not exact for either, since obviously Freddy and Toy Bonnie are not spring locks and Toy Bonnie has different teeth.
Then why are they in Freddy and Bonnie shape?? They are Freddy and spring Bonnie can not be any other animatronic.

Your referring to the dci(dead children incident) there body weren't stuff in suits and they did not possesse anything but the agony from the murder was released and caused the toys to be affected by the agony which in turn caused them to go haywire and also at the same time their agony is actually what gave rise to shadow bonnie

I believe that the Shadows are hallucinations, like the phantom animatronics. In fnaf 2 there is toy bonnie and golden freddy so the shadows could be hallucinations of them, as Toy Bonnie and golden freddy are in the same game as RWQFSFASXC and Shadow Freddy are. fnaf has little design consistency when it comes to lore, so the fact that their designs arent similar disproving them not being victims of the suits doesnt work

I have no idea what they could be, but I have an idea on how they kill you. They crash your game, sure, but I think this represents causing something in the brain. Like an aneurysm. They have some sort of dark power over you that can physically harm you if you’re exposed too long.
