I was on jekyl at the time and in the campground at yhe exact time of the eclipse. Nothing to see from my angle. But the campground is totally shaded so.
With the glasses we were able to see the 70ish% coverage. Not nearly as impressive as when we were closer to the path of totality. But it was still fun. And hey, I caught some decent fish. Win win. 😃
@@fishincontrol jekyll is beautiful isn't it. The only time I ever saw an eclipse, full eclipse was in 83. In Georgia. That was really something to see. Even if you in shade it was obvious. It got so dark and it to was around 3 in the afternoon. Anyway I'm headed back to jekyll in October. I try to get there 3 or 4 times a year. It's been a short ride to vacation since the 70's for me. Still relatively a quiet place to go for me to get away. A lot more crowded but still quiet and peaceful. Definitely not a spring breakers place and I hope it always stays that way.
Very cool. Ill be there mid June
Glad to see you had some clear skies for the eclipse.
Thank you. We were super happy about it. It was expected to be cloudy there, but we lucked out
Glad to see you got the skunk of that live liner reel!
I did, and I really appreciate it! I can't wait to hook into something big with it, but I'll take it catching the biggest whiting in all the land. 🤣
Dude, that whiting at 9:21 at first glance looked like a slot red! Awesome job!
It was an absolute fatty! Biggest in quite a while. I totally thought it was a red when it was first coming out of the waves
nice whiting there. i fished the cliffs during the eclipse. i also caught two hugh whitings and 6 good sized croakers. cool video.
I'm not familiar with the cliffs. I'm intrigued. Thank you for the support.
