    屋企老人家由ALS(漸凍人)確診到走只不過2年半,由手指做唔到微動作(例如剝唔到蒜皮),成日好多口水,行路隻腳提唔到仆親跟住好快吞唔到嘢,要開胃管,最後係肺炎走😔

    Thank you Dr. Rex for the info! I used to have leg cramps when I was about 16 years old. The cramps only happened when I took afternoon naps on a couch. The cramps were rather painful. I think my napping position was pinching a nerve or something and causing the cramps. That lasted for about a year. Luckily, the cramps never returned after I moved to a new house and stayed away from that couch. I learned a quick way to relieve the cramps was to straighten the leg and the heel right away before the onset of the cramps. Thanks again Dr. Rex!

    Leg cramps are caused by poor blood circulation. When that happens, get up and walk around. Cramps can be avoided by keeping the legs warm.

    我以前經常小腿抽筋無論日夜都有,看醫生都只叫多吃些鈣片,現在小腿抽筋的情況少了很多,反而右邊身上胸至手脅位在突然間肌肉收縮持續幾分鐘,很痛

    我通常是早上醒來就小腿抽筋, 而且是很頻密! 幸好是時間很短, 起床走幾步就無事. 但偶爾也會連大腿一起抽, 大腿抽筋就很痛苦, 而且時間較長, 至少也有幾分鐘!
    個人有多年靜脈曲張的病史, 也曾嚴重發炎到要做手術!
    估計抽筋大概也和靜脈曲張有関!😩😖😞

    I always have leg cramp. My friend asked me to try this: if you have a cramp on your right foot or leg, stand up and raise your left arm. The leg cramp will disappear in 10-15 seconds. It works for me every time. 😊

    I apply magnesium supplement about 240 mg daily. It has improved quite a bit of the problem. When It happens in the middle of the night, make sure to stand up straight carefully. It will help to ease the cramp.

      I did the same trick when it happens, this ease the pain faster, rather than waiting for it to end.

      @@danielelizachan6785 Try to apply the Magnesium supplement. It did help me in the past 8 months for the cramps in the legs. I also consumed the vegetables/fruits smoothie for the last three years. It also had made my gout disappear. The fruits included with pineapples which actually help to ease the gout problem. I can now have red meats without increasing my uric acid. Of course, no roast duck/goose is in my diet

    小腿抽筋非常痛,而我常期有!
    回想小時候祖母中風長期臥床,本來她很開心聽我說笑,霎時看見她非常痛苦,我也不知如何處理,亦無經驗,她不停地呀…呀…呀!
    現今我始明白是抽筋;我買了一支運動抽筋噴霧,在抽筋處,像踢足球抽筋醫療噴射,及把腳踏在地面上,很快就OK了,游泳抽筋亦可以。
    回說祖母抽筋亦很久也不能減少痛楚,現今在老人院及醫院也見過,有很多年青醫 護及病者家人沒有上述經驗,或每日用Mentholatum同病人按摩及站立,不可長期坐臥,多運動。
    有見及此,發自內心分享,祝身體健康🎉🎉🎉備註:用冰袋亦可!

    Besides the many situations related to in the comments,I have also found that it's easier to get leg cramps when sleeping straight on the back than sleeping on a side. Have also watched an ad for mattresses before, it says sleeping on a hard mattress can cause poor blood circulation. Not sure this can be a cause for the leg cramps but it is true that my mattress is quite hard.
