Koel River:
The North Koel rises on the Chhota Nagpur plateau and enters Latehar district , below Netarhat near Rud. After flowing nearly due west for about 32 kilometres (20 mi), it turns north at an almost complete right angle through a gorge at Kutku, and flows through the centre of the district until it falls into the Son a few miles north-west of Haidarnagar.
Chalet house:
Historically, a chalet was a type of alpine building or house in the mountainous regions of Europe, typically constructed from wood with a sloping roof, built for areas with larger levels of snowfall. Chalets were originally used to house herders of dairy cattle.
As per government data source, It was built during the time of Sir Edward Gate (lieutenant governor of Bihar and Odisha) and Chalet House was Initially used as a summer getaway for British officers.
Netarhat Residential School:
Netarhat Residential School was established on 15 November 1954, after the independence of India for the people of state of Bihar. It was a dream of the first chief minister of Bihar, Shri Krishna Singh and his deputy chief minister and finance minister Anugrah Narayan Sinha to establish a centre of excellence.The educationist Frederick Gordon Pearce, Jagadish Chandra Mather and Sachidanand Sinha played a vital role in making the plans for the school (or Netarhat Vidyalaya). Pearce has received kudos from Rajendra Prasad, then the president of India for his works.
