    Boy that thing is slick! Now I need to keep my eyes open for one! Looking forward to seeing how it does in the winter. I would imagine we both probably get the same amount of snow, so your tests should be fairly similar to what mine would be!

      @@AdamDeLayDIY Stay tuned! It will be interesting; I'm worried about the tires not being aggressive enough.
      There is a Polaris EV FB page. People are selling there all the time.

    Wow. That looks so good! I'd love to see a video on a long trail ride and see what the miles or kilometers/watt hour you can get out of it. Acceleration, top speed. Etc.
    I just bought a Honda 2016 pioneer 1000-5... that are so fun to take out!

      @@diySolarPowerFunWithRay Nice on the Honda. This is my around-the-property work hog. Top speed governed at 25 miles per hour. I still have lots of fun with it, but I must test it long-range.

    We had 14 inches of wet snow here in northeast PA hard to push. Looking forward to seeing your rig in action :)

      I saw that snow band in PA. I thought it would come to me in Canada, but it stayed south. Outside of Christmas, this is the only time I want it to snow 😂

    I just bought an EV Intimidator Classic with the same kind of conversion in mind - it currently has (8) GC2 AGM batteries in it that still work, but it certainly doesn't have the same snap & range of the BadBoy Buggy I converted over to LFPs for a friend. This thing is pretty beefy with a single electric motor into a more traditional transmission and a single 600A controller. I think to give myself full duty on the potential discharge I'm considering putting 8 of these Li Time 48V batteries back in their place with some combination of wires & bus bars to match the potential draw. The OEM charger in the Intimidator is an Eagle from Pro Charging Systems that appears can be updated with new profiles to support LFP chemistry. I'm coming up short trying to find a SOC meter that can handle the max possible current; while the Li Time Bluetooth app looks nice to get what's remaining, it would be definitely more convenient to have something on the dash. Any suggestions or other gotch-yas/changes you've come across putting your Polaris together?

      It sounds like you're completely capable of doing a conversation.
      I'd suggest looking at the Victon Smart shunts. They have larger ones than I used. You might not get the display, but Bluetooth connection 👍

    So, it was already running on electric and you put in the LFP batteries, or it used to run on gas?

    I live in MN where it gets really gets cold. Is there a reason you didn’t put self heating batteries in?

      I don't think I'll need to be heated. Testing it will be fun.
      Like I said in the video, The UTV is in a heated garage, Used, and then back into a heated garage.

      How do you think 4 of the Enjoybot 65AH self heating batteries would do in a Ranger EV?

    • @Roll2Videos
      @Roll2Videos  27 дней назад +1

      @@jessethebarber1474 I can't see why they wouldn't work, looking at the specs. I've never had an enjoybot battery before.
      I live in Canada, and I don't use heated batteries; I park and charge in a heated garage.
