We invested in whole house Generac. Automatically cuts on when power is off for 30 seconds. Big investment but we are elderly, and it added value to the property.
@@susanmason9467. We added a whole house Generac generator to our house ten years ago, best six thousand dollars we ever spent. We live on the East coast of Lake Michigan, when the storms come across the lake from Wisconsin the power goes out a lot. With our medical condition we can’t be without power.
We checked in to getting one here in Central southern Florida. We couldn't afford it it was 20k for 22k watt to run whole house and have the gas installed. Still hope one day to have it.
Please Walker farm say a prayer for me and my family. My daughter passed away Sunday night. I miss her so much. She left 3 beautiful kids and siblings. I love watching your channel. It always makes me smile.
I wish I could afford one! We lost power for 35 hrs with the hurricane... so glad you were able to get one! Love you all so much! Continued prayers and God bless ❤
I’m glad you were able to hook The Jackery to the house😊! The storms have been wild! Blackberry loves us🥰! Glad Bella is learning not to bark at the cows, she’s trying to be a good girl 😁! Thanks for sharing Gary, prayers for you and your family 🙏🏻🤗💕 !
Hi. I wanted to mention how much I love the music you play. We need to slow down in this fast paced world and talk to God. I miss seeing everyone especially the kids. ✝❤❤❤
Can't help but miss the family when they are all away. How I would love to have that solar generator. Alas the funds are just not there. The best thing is that I got saved as a 13 year old at a Bible camp. Never will forget those sweet missionaries who witness to me.
What a comfort it must be to know that you have backup power if the power goes out. The kids and Cassie must be enjoying church camp. Blessings to you all. ❤🙏
It is so nice that Ransom loves to help you on the farm. I bet he misses you too. I wouldn't let the chicken stay on the nest either. Too hot and she could have a heat stroke. Have a great evening. God Bless.
We had severe thunderstorms all day yesterday and at midnight our power went out. Line crews couldn’t start working until the lightning stopped. Downed lines and critical services were worked on first. Residential issues were next in line to be fixed around 16hrs later. Without air conditioning or fans it got so hot it was impossible to sleep, so I’m kind of lethargic and a tiny bit cranky.😅
Oh my husband did that with our generator last couple of hurricanes ago. We were able to stay warm during the freeze and then this past hurricane we stayed powered on. After the freeze the neighbors had him help install those switches. So all our neighbors around us all had power during hurricane Beryl. 😊
We sure could use the Jackery, with Fred having COPD & on oxygen. We lost power this past Sunday & Monday!! Thank GOD it wasn't for too many hours. Last Fall we lost power from Friday night until Sunday night. Its just not in our budget unfortunately. Boy, i sure miss Ransom helping you feed the animals. Hope they all are having a great time. Blessings, Love & Hugs 🙏🙏🌹 Love 🌻 from Apex NC 💜
Gary love the video great information about this generator. God bless you and your family. Hope you have a wonderful week. Your and Cassie friend Robin from Virginia 🐃🐓🦃
Great system if power goes out....awesome....Love seeing all the animals doing well...Yea Ransom will be the next generation farmer...hes a great help around the farm....Stay safe and see you on the next one
My Daddy always called them beggars lice, I never heard stick tights until I started watching the RUclips!😅 But to each their own! And no I don’t blame you for not letting her set, it’s way too hot for her to be in the coop all the time! I sure do miss my little buddy, Ransom, but I hope he is back next video! Lots of prayers for everyone! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl!❤❤❤
Hey Gary, I loved Church camp, I loved seeing the kids praise the Lord and when someone would give their lives to the Lord it was heart felt God bless y'all and until next time take care now.
four hours of back up for the circuits you selected is not long enough. You need at least twelve hours so at night you can make it to day light to recharge with solar.
Gary that broody hen looks just like mine that has been Brody for so long, I take her off and even close off that area for an hour and her puffy self gets right back in there lol.. just an hour ago I was trying to bribe her with frozen watermelon it didn’t work. But mine has been broody for almost 2 months that how long she and I have been going back and forth..lol😂
Cool backup, but that system requires that you or someone is there to switch the system over. What happens if you're out if town? You'll still lose everything. Is there a way to ensure it switches over automatically? It appears that you won't have true peace of mind if it doesnt. Still, better than no backup at all .
❤❤❤😊😊😊 thanks for the video. Can you add more portable solar panels? How many and can you charge the extra jackery battery with only solar. Oh, and how much run time do you have before you have to charge the Jackery 2000, and how much time to charge it back up on solar? Also do you have to have a specific brand of Solar Panels? Been looking into some. Thank You
I'm out of work until further notice. The mini mall the shop is in got flooded. We got 7 inches in the shop. It happened Saturday and then we got hit again Sunday.
Gary have you ever grew Early Bird Tomotoes ? First ttime for me and when ready tgere the size of a tennis ball i wanted big tomatoes for green fried ones 😢 going to beach tomorrow haven't been in very very long time just wsnt to set toes in water and pray and relax
Gary could please help me out here. If you have your Jackaroo set up for power outs when your not home. How does it work then. Does it automatically which on?
I think Ransom is a total farmer in heart .He will probably work by your side for ever.
We invested in whole house Generac. Automatically cuts on when power is off for 30 seconds. Big investment but we are elderly, and it added value to the property.
That’s great to have peace of mind
I'm interested in the whole house Generac, I'm a widow & just wondering if it was expensive?
@@susanmason9467$12-15,000 is the price I have seen. I know $12000 for my neighbor, 1500 sq ft ranch home in SE Wisconsin.

Hidden heights farm had a broody chicken that died of heat stroke. Don't let her be broody.
No Broody chicks during heat, especially in the coops, they are probably hotter than outside

It's good that you have the Jackery as backup when your power goes out. Hope the kids have a good time at camp. GOD bless y'all.
I miss Ransom too. He’s my favorite little farmer always there to help dad. And as far as the chicken goes, no do not let her be broody in this heat!
Too hot, Kevin already lost a broody hen to the heat

Hi Gary, power back up this day and age is a must, with all the power outages we get during the year. Great video.👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦

Good Evening Gary, Cassie and children! My favorite farmer needs a little rest. Ransom plays hard and work twice as hard! Have a blessed day ❤
Its always a pleasure to see all the children They are special with great personality . They get that from great parents.
Hi Walkers, great idea.
Please remember me in your prayers I fell on a ramp and broke my ankle in 2 places. Supposed to have surgery Thursday. It's very painful.😢😢😢😢😢

Hello Gary, yes we do miss Ransom. I hope he is totally enjoying himself now. Glad you have backup when the power goes out.🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the family and little bear and the animals
Gary, I heard you say " bat chicks" instead of back chickens! I was like, Wow! 😂😂
Miss Ransom, too! ❤🙏
🤣
Thanks for sharing Gary. Stay safe whilst everyone is away. Glad little bear is there to keep you company. Take care God Bless. 🙏💕

Here in North Carolina we call them beggar lice.
I agree it's to hot for a broody hen.

We have a full house propane generator but I like that solar!
I enjou watching you doing the feeding and gardenbut i enjoy you sharing your faith
Morning Garry its seem so different without Ransom helping . Blackberry is so cute that she does seem to be bullied like she used to be. ❤❤
Great idea. I will stick with my Generac. It has been such a blessing for me.
Thanks for the info and the demo. Agree, no broody hen due to high temps. You will have a full house again before you know it! 😊
Glad to see that you are thinking ahead ☺️☺️☺️😜❤❤❤❤
Hope the rest of the family has a great time at Bible Camp!! Don't get to hot and work to hard while the family is gone!! God bless the family 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It's too hot for broody chickens. They will get dehydrated and the eggs probably would not hatch anyway. God bless you, your family, and farm.
Nice video - also miss Cassie and the kids but good that they are having fun❤👏🏻🤩 Please try to stay cool when you can 🆒😎🌞🎶🌸🌼💚🍀

We had tons of lights on. If we actually had a power outage we would conserve energy. We could also run the freezer every 8 hours instead of non stop.

There are other switches that switch automatically

Gary, everyone needs a little bit of me time. That is what I call my alone time or my time with a grandchild. 1 day I'll be able to get me a Jackery.
Quick question ..It should let you charge your phones to right !! This is wonderful ..Thank you for the info!!🇺🇸☮️😇😇🌈❤️🦋🌸🙏

What about your well pump.
The house is on rural water. We have another power bank that runs the well pump for the cattle
How about your air conditioning. Does it run that also????
If you wired it for that but I don’t have enough batteries to run it very long so I opted for other priorities
