      I gave a couple as baby shower gifts. I gave my mother a flamingo towel like this one and she doesn't use it, it's an ornament.

    Hello Kerri, congratulations if you have just started doing the tutorials 😀 your clever than me, 😋 my techno!ivy skills are not very good. 😣 I have a tablet, I only know how to watch crochet tutorials 😀 & only just been able to subscribe & leave comments 😋 I know how to crochet, so I found your tutorial very easy with such thin crochet yarn/ thread. So I will definitely write your pattern down & crochet it on a towel, washcloth or blanket. & Things I crochet are given as presents/gifts, & honestly now my son is 20 I do not know many small children only 1 or 2. Thank you, this train & animals is so adorable 😁 Erica x

      Hello Erica, Thank you. I'm not so good at technology either, My son has designed my website and edits the videos. I just design and crochet. I have all my patterns on my website which would save you from having to write them down. The website is www.kerriscrochet.com I mainly use my crochet for gifts too but do sell a small amount at a market. Kerri

    What a great idea! I am currently crocheting a baby blanket which is stretchy. I see this is applied to a towel. Do you foresee any issues applying it to a crocheted blanket? thanks so much. Great work. :)

    • @KerrisCrochet
      @KerrisCrochet  Год назад

      I haven’t had any problems with appliqués added to blankets but I am careful and only hand wash them. The teddy bears picnic blanket was made using a mixture of wool and acrylic and was stretchy with lots of appliqués added.

    Ms Kerri I followed you about a year ago making your cute trains for a blanket. By any chance do you have a pattern for an elephant rug for baby's room, please let me know ASAP thanks

      I have some elephant appliqués, a line of the baby elephants looks good along a blanket. I’ve also just designed an elephant granny square which has the head of an elephant worked into a square. I filmed it today but it will be at least a month before it is released. I’ve started making a baby blanket with the squares but am only halfway through.

    I'm fairly new to crocheting. I'm expecting a great grandson in November, just found out my granddaughter is using trains as decor for babies room, this tutorial is great. I'm crocheting a blanket and want to add the train on. I've just finished the main part. I am using (4 medium yarn) cotton, is this right? I used a 4.25 mm hook, turned out a little big, do I need to use smaller hook? Thanks

    • @KerrisCrochet
      @KerrisCrochet  3 года назад

      Congratulations. For appliqués I use a size or 2 smaller hook than I would normally use for the yarn. I use fairly thin cotton but the appliqué can be worked in any yarn. To make it smaller use a finer yarn and hook or a smaller hook to make it slightly smaller.

    you don't say what size of crochet hook you use, it looks quite small for the yarn used?!

    • @KerrisCrochet
      @KerrisCrochet  5 лет назад

      Sorry Lorna, this was one of my first videos so was just getting the hang of it. I use 4 ply crochet cotton which is fairly fine and a 1.5mm crochet hook. For appliques I always use a finer hook than I would if crocheting something else with the same ply yarn. Usually 1 or 2 sizes smaller.

      Hello Debra, I made it in 4 ply crochet cotton and it's 4" by just under 3" or 9.5 cm by 7 cm. I also use a finer hook than usual. Kerri

    • @KerrisCrochet
      @KerrisCrochet  7 лет назад

      Hello Debra, you would have to use fine crochet cotton, perhaps a number 20. You could also use about half the stitches and rows for the engine body and window. Leave off the last row for the wheels and roof and make the funnel a bit smaller. Kerri
