The litlle out of tune low E from the final part is so awesome ;-)... it gives even a stronger Hendrix vibe to the interpretation... top playing Mr.Gales... you're a genius player.
i hope he never goes mainstream. Seriously i hope he does his thing and for whatever reason he reminds me of jimmy hendrix. He's playing guitar from his soul he's not restrained by what other players do too much hes letting his heart sing i respect him alot and to have raught himselfe to play right handed guitar upside down and to continue :)
This guy rocks ! Just when you thought true rock & roll was dead ,someone with the cahoonies comes along and slame dunks all of the rumors. Thank you Eric Gales.
...just love the totally laid back feel of these guys!... Eric has one more new fan!... super stuff! ....oh!... pictures in the intro now eh!.... someones playing catchup.. go for it!!! ;-)
You’re damn right man !!! Eric made me feel this too .. but this guy is not formatted to the mainstream unfortunately..!! He’s too big to sell albums !! We prefer dumb square music !
I normally don't like blues because to me it's repetitive, always the same chords, same lyric structure, etc. But this is some blues I can get into, he uses some amazing chords, awesome voicings, and his playing never gets monotonous even though it's using some standard blues progressions. The other guys whose blues I like is Led Zeppelin and John Mayer
"Hey Joe" doesn't have a standard blues chord progression. Nor do most of Eric Gales' own songs. Like Hendrix, he is really a hard rock musician with some strong blues influences rather than an actual Blues Artist.
I think he was referring to blues and blues rock tunes with repetitive chord progressions. Like Hey Joe. However, Eric makes a four chord song sound so interesting
Best guitar playing on the planet 🌍 Jimi is looking down smiling ✌️
Eric Gales is a musical god!!!
This should be in a HD version. Putted delicately on a record !!! The best since the jimi’s original one !
the blues will never die, because it lives in us all -
Go ahead, Eric!
Any time you find a nice version of this song, feels like a brand new song

hey Eric and T.M
are you kiddin its t.m. stevens? omfg!) wht a band) gales rock!
It's standard tuning (unless he tunes down a bit). Played upside down without restringing (like Albert).
He is naturally right handed but plays upside down and lefty
Will Smith's version of Hey Joe. Gotta love it.
I wish i could understand left handed playing, so i could see exactly what he is doing
Pollutens u dont need to , u can just hear it
unlike jimi he doesnt restring the right handed guitar!!!
Awesome! Am I mistaken or do you play your guitar much like albert king? do you use drop minor tuning as well?
incredibly proud of him for kicking drugs in 2016.
great .love the bass player. who is he ?
Does anyone know what song the first minute or so is?
Notice .Eric never looks at the bass player.is there a problem ,dont know ! great playing
Ranked top 5 in the world
G Stewart him and Derek trucks are probably the best in the world
Philip sayce is great too
Will Smith's old brother sounds brilliant!!!
Rafael Carvalho will smith is older than eric
Rafael Carvalho i see where you are coming from though,he does look like will a bit
So this is where kingfish got it from

No, but the solos are smack in the middle of the blues box.
I agree with you totally on your blues comment. I once walked out on Stevie Ray Vaughn because I got bored but Eric is somethin special.
Tm Stevens
Sounds like a reggae Roy Buchanan version!!
このカバーでこのギタリスト知ったけど最高にかっけーわ!ハマりそう。やっぱジミヘンのカバーは黒人のほうが断然好きだな。
He’s only gotten tighter with his playing… #genius
elexmage, please try to get this right ....Hendrix was just another dude who covered this song......
Souvent ils font des playlists de guitaristes ils n'est jamais ni classé ni cité comme Tommy Bolin et j'en passe ( Guy platteau Marseille France)
Eric seems nervous
rediculous
