I'm 76 years old. I experienced Jimi in real life. He can't be touched. Jimi used his teeth for guitar picks, played his guitar behind his back, head, between his legs, etc. He played a right handed guitar left handed (upside down) and after every performance, he set his guitar on fire onstage. His rendition of the Star Spangled Banner is epic. You need to watch a live video of Jimi. The world lost one of its greatest talents when he died so young. I mourned him with everyone in the Haight Ashbury.
Glad to see our younger generation listening to Hendrix. He was the greatest guitarist of all time! Jimi on guitar/vocals, Noel Redding on Bass and Mitch Mitchell on Drums.

I thought at New paul`s Hendrix played abit better than at Randell`s show. But it was a summer of Hard Rock.

So happy to see young people appreciating music from my youth. You're listening to a guitar god!! BUT the best way to truly appreciate Jimi is to SEE him play. PLEASE, even if you don't make a reaction video, you HAVE to watch his live performance of "Hey Joe". Of course, I would love to see your faces when you see what Jimi can do. I saw him in concert in 1968. He was a guitar god.
Hendrix is the goat guitarist. He also wrote amazing songs. Live performances at '69 Woodstock of the Star Spangled Banner, Voodoo Child are amazing as is the Hey Joe performance at the '67 Monterey Pop Festival. Personal favorite is his live performance of 'Catfish Blues' at the Paris Olympia in late '67. Great reactions guys - thank you.
Jimi's a LEGEND. A beast on the guitar, killed it on the mic, too. His band's name was called The Jimi Hendrix Experience - his musicianship and their music was a trip! Great reaction, guys! Glad you love him, too.
Jimi was by far and away the GOAT! He was also left handed and played a right handed fender stratocaster flipped over and restrung. He was capable of playing with either tho and used his right hand for eating and other tasks. Watchtower will always be my favorite just because it has such a haunting feel but a definite listen is the star spangled banner at Woodstock ✌️&❤️
Hendrix blew everyone's mind when he finally got exposure back in the late '60s. His influence on rock music is up there at the top. Especially his guitar playing. According to many opinions, he is the Goat on guitar. I always loved his vocals also. My favorite by him is Gypsy Eyes. And the song Hear My Train a Coming ( from the Band of Gypsies live at Fillmore East album) is another goodie.
Jimi is on guitar, Mitch Mitchell on the drums, and Noel Reading on bass. Great band. Please react to some live videos of Jimi, how he plays the guitar is just as amazing as the sound he gets from it. One if the greatest ever.
Sooooo many great Hendrix songs..."If 6 was 9", "Foxey Lady", "All Along the Watchtower", "Red House", "Voodoo Child", "The Stars that Play with Laughing Sam's Dice", "Machine Gun" (performed under the band name "Band of Gypsys"), "Hey Joe", "Fire", "Wind Cries Mary", "Castles Made of Sand", "Manic Depression", "Crosstown Traffic", and of course, his Woodstock rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner"
My fave song off my fave album! ♥ This song is incendiary! BTW - that's Mitch Mitchell on drums. He's great too! I suggest the following Hendrix songs: Are You experienced, Bold As Love, Little Wing, All Along The Watchtower, Dolly Dagger & Red House

Everything Jimi did was amazing. Y'all are taking me back to my teenage years. Keep on playing these fantastic songs. Try Stevie Ray Vaughn I promise you won't be disappointed 😉
Jimi playing Hey Joe Video from Monterey Festival, Yes that was all Guitar Sounds and JimiSinging too. Great reaction Boys. Imagine… I first heard JImi in 1969 as a nine year old boy. Life changing moment. Peace Out.
PLEASE REACT TO: * How Many More Times - Led Zeppelin * Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin * All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix * Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix
Jimi is most defiantly on vocals -- All Along the Watchtower is my favorite but Hey Joe is a close second -- Sadly we lost him to the 27 club in 1970 -- just a couple months after Brian Jones and 2 weeks before we lost Janis Joplin -- RIP
The best reaction to PH absolutely EVER. “I’m sweating”!! “No, no, no” You can really tell you guys are sincere. That’s what makes you compelling. If you haven’t, check out Jimi doing “Foxey Lady” live from Maui. No one compares to JIMI. May God rest his soul but never stop letting us enjoy his soulful music ❤
Hell yes! From the opening Tritone (The Devil’s Interval), this tune is iconic. Good lord, how many musicians have a chord named after them? (Dominant 7#9 a.k.a “The Hendrix chord”). It’s the chord that sounds spikey. See if you can hear it. All the best lads.
Not just the tri-tone (G#-D) The #9(G) creates another dissonant interval of a minor 2nd with the G#. Unless you're a musician, I'm sure they have no idea. 😂 🎸☮️💕
It's cool to see two young men appreciate good music for the first time......check out The Wind Cries Mary, and Hey Joe........Two more great songs by him.......
Yes, this is what I love about listening to Jimi... his psychedelic guitar playing is like the sound of an explosion of a star, or the sound of the formation of a universe, it's the cries of God when he yearns to create! It is something so cosmic and infinite... its as if the guitar itself is trying to burst through into our dimension and speak!
This came out in 1967 ... welcome to the musical landscape of the greatest electric guitarist who ever lived ... he opened up the sonic range of the electric guitar and laid the path for those to come ... RIP Jimi ...
Hey Guys - If you haven't heard much JH you are in for an incredible, fantastic, once in a lifetime treat. He is one of the all time monsters of American music. The studio, the live gigs are all without parallel. Enjoy yourselves!
I saw Jimi Hendrix in concert in 1968. We was not like any other guitarists. He not only didn't play inside the box, he didn't acknowledge that a box existed. It was like he dropped in from another planet. In fact he liked to call his music "Science Fiction Rock".
Hendrix also had Eddie Kramer as the engineer. Eddie was very much into trying to make things sound as different as possible. If you listen closely to the guitar right before the first line of the first verse it has this odd sort of volume bloom, kind of like the guitar fades in and out. Eddie was responsible for that, he used as much compression as possible (not the same as digital format compression like mp3 and so on). As it was noted by another the first and second solo was done with Roger mayer's prototype octavio. But in the second solo, you hear this really high pitched guitar fade in. If you play that part back at 50% speed, and isolate it as much as possible, you realize it's a clean guitar. Hendrix literally had the song played back at half speed, recorded that overdub, then mixed the overdub in, and played it back at normal speed to get that effect. With this song, hendrix introduced rock to the dominate 7#9 chord (E7#9 is the first chord in the main riff) it was used in jazz up into the 50s and fell out of use, never appeared in rock until this song. It's It's great chord, can be used as a major or minor chord. These days it's informally called "The hendrix chord", he used it a LOT too.
That "lead break" at the end is one note on guitar. Funny I first heard in 1967 and now realise there are many still hearing this for the first time! Minds blown 😆
1969, when I was listening to Hendrix on the radio, I thought his guitar playing was a studio creation. After knocking off work in Waikiki one evening, I walked home. As I was walking, I heard music, so I walked towards the music, which turned out to be the park at the end of Waikiki. There is a open air, half-round theater where the Jimi Hendrix Experience was playing. I could hear the music like I was in the theater as the sound filled the park with Hendrix's beautiful guitar music, that sounded exactly like the studio versions of his songs.
I love me some Jimi!! Voodoo Child is probably of my favorites. That’s Jimi playing guitar AND singing. Watching him is nuts. Plays with his teeth, behind his back… Another band y’all will for sure like, (I’ve mentioned before) The Doors. They blend blues, jazz, and rock… and other genres too. They have been my favorite band for 20 years (since I was 17). Before that my favorite band was Led Zeppelin.
Fellows, that was three guys: Mitch Michell, a really tight, energetic, Jazz-trained drummer, Noel Redding, a guitarist who took on the bassist role, and Jimi Hendrix, a virtuoso guitarist, who for years had been a backing guitarist with many big-name R&B artists. Apart from the vocals, drums, and bass, all you were hearing were guitar parts being played by Jimi Hendrix. Together, the trio's band name was The Experience.
Now for Hey Joe! If you type this title exactly: The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Hey Joe (1967), that should be the one. Look for: the emotional way he plays, the random pain you see in his eyes from time to time, his guitar solos (!), the band. The crowd had never seen anything like him until that moment. You're gonna love it!
Jimi was an alien from the planet Stratocaster in the Psychedelia Galaxy, we are blessed that he walked among us for even his short stay. If you're looking for other brilliant bands from this era, may I suggest ~The Allman Brothers~ ("Whipping Post" is always a crowd pleaser) ~The Who~ (can't go wrong with "Who Are You" or "Won't Get Fooled Again" for starters) and ~The Rolling Stones~ ("Gimme Shelter" is a no brainer.) There are SO many great bands from this period, but these are some of the larger than life giants that walk the same realm as Hendrix and Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. And then there are... The Beatles. An entirely different landscape, an entirely different journey, but one you MUST take at some point, when you're ready. But DEFINITELY keep going with Jimi!! Love your videos, new subscriber, ROCK ON!!
Jimi is the actual GOAT guitarist. Many are very close but he is a standard. Just watch any of his greatest hits. I recommend them all. Army veteran 101 Airborne Paratrooper. No f*****ng slouch, the real deal. He is worth every minute of your time
Wow, nice reaction. I was 13 when I bought Jimi Hendrix Are You Experienced LP. In February of 1968 I saw Hendrix perform at Sacramento State. Wow, cotton in my ears for about 3 days after but an amazing "Experience" indeed. Jimi was not around all that long, but he left a mountain of recordings to enjoy. You will have to watch him in a live recorded concert to get all of the awesome. Enjoy this fabulous discovery!
That guitar solo and lyrics convinces me he was on some serious LSD when he wrote it. I remember listening to this in mom's house when I was about 13. Acid rock it is, what a time for music...
You have to watch Hendrix live at the Monterey Pop festival - live at Woodstock - live in Maui - listen to Hendrix live at the Filmore East - Isle Of Wight festival . Eric Clapton was a close friend of his. Clapton told a story about that he went into a guitar shop and happened to see a left hand guitar. So he bought it to give to Hendrix as a gift. They were both at a club and they both saw each other from across the club. Clapton had the guitar in his hand , but couldn't give it to him since he couldn't get to him that night. So he decided to give it to him the next day. And in the morning he had heard that Hendrix had died . Clapton was left with the guitar that he was going to give Hendrix as a gift. He fell into a deep depression . He had lost his friend .
LMAO that was pure fun to watch. Def check videos he's an amazing show. First to play guitar with his teeth and behind his head, set his guitar on fire. Fantastic fashion sense. I worked with a lady who went to high school with him. Said he was a little shy but very open and friendly. You guys like SRV he and Jimi are the goats
Okay guys since you now have entered the Jimi Hendrix rabbit-hole number one on the list is his live version at Woodstock of the National Anthem and then anything else you want to get your going to love!!! You definitely got to get some live video up so you can see the man do the things that make him a legend!!!
Three magicians are performing. That's it ❗🔥 One of my faves by him. Check out "FIre", "Hey Joe ". His British band members were killer. " MANIC DEPRESSION " is a Banger too🔥Keep going. The 60's & 70's are the best Era. Go there ❗
It's the consensus of most rock musicians, guitarists, fans, and critics for the last 50 years that when it comes to the greatest guitar players, Jimi Hendrix is the GOAT. I highly suggest that you listen to his cover of All Along The Watchtower next!
Hendrix is the man! Jimi is the lead singer and guitarist. The Experience was a power trio. Mitch Mitchell on drums and Noel Redding on bass. Check out Fire, Crosstown Traffic, Foxy Lady, Manic Depression and Hey Joe. That would be a good start. When Jimi hit the scene he took the rock world by storm, and forever changed guitar in rock music!
Ahhh...yes one of the Icons of Rock N Roll🎸🔥💖🤗 and since there are so many wonderful suggestions for more of his great songs, I will just say check out another Legendary guitar G.O.A.T "Stevie Ray Vaughan - Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (From Live at the El Mocambo)" Jimi Hendrix was one of Stevie Ray's hero's and mentors, along with Albert King and B.B King. We lost him in a helicopter crash in 1990 at the tender age of 35yrs. old. But he left us some extraordinary music and he is someone that *must* be watched Live, he never played two performances the same, He was mesmerizing! RIP: Stevie Ray U R Missed 💔🎸🤘🔥

Axis: Bold as love is a treasure
IIf I had to pick one release ,I'd be very hard pressed ,but It would be Axls : Bold as love

Machine Gun, from Band of Gypsys (Hendrix). Some of the greatest live electric guitar ever recorded. Live at New Years Eve 1969. Listen now.
You have to watch him live. He plays with his teeth, plays behind his back…..more Hendrix🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jimi is the actual GOAT guitarist. Many are very close but he is a standard. Just watch any of his greatest hits. I recommend them all. Army veteran 101 Airborne Paratrooper. No f*****ng slouch, the real deal. He is worth every minute of your time
James Marshal Hendrix.....astro man...dolly dagger...pure genius..the greatest loss musically in the 20th century
Mitch Mitchell on drums.......Noel Redding on bass........
Welcome to the late 60's guys! This jam captures perfectly what it was like. The whole vibe of the 'acid' (LSD) era is captured here.
I think you both would love Deep Purple, Highway Star. In the live version there is amazing keyboard and guitar solos.
Imagine listening to that in 1967. Mind blowing.
A true Masterpiece. On my Playlist.
I love your reactions to songs that I've grown up listening to, welcome to the wormhole that is real music
You guys need to check out Rory Gallagher - Bad Penny incredible guitarist and so underrated
The ultimate power Trio featuring a jazz drummer who was winning awards at the time in England Mitch Mitchell
And that’s the first song on his first album, so so much more to Experience!
Yall should react to Jimi doing Foxey Lady live Miami Pop Festival 1968 to check some serious Hendrix swag.
the band was called the Jimmy Hendrix experience
Jimmy had unusual guitar style, playing a right hand guitar, upside down left handed

Three magicians are performing. That's it ❗🔥 One of my faves by him. Check out "FIre", "Hey Joe ". His British band members were killer. " MANIC DEPRESSION " is a Banger too🔥Keep going. The 60's & 70's are the best Era. Go there ❗
Most amazing guitarist ever! Was in the army but got hurt. Glad he got that music side goin cuz he was the best!
It's the consensus of most rock musicians, guitarists, fans, and critics for the last 50 years that when it comes to the greatest guitar players, Jimi Hendrix is the GOAT. I highly suggest that you listen to his cover of All Along The Watchtower next!
It's absolutely amazing you didn't get blocked!
One of Jimi's tunes that I play a lot. The others are "All Along the Watch Tower" & "Gypsy Eyes" (which has a lovely funky feel to it.)
The young bros liked it so much they even turn red. Truly a great rock song. Try "Hey Joe" and "All Along the Watchtower" by Hendrix.
Arguably the greatest rock guitarist of all time
Ahhh...yes one of the Icons of Rock N Roll🎸🔥💖🤗 and since there are so many wonderful suggestions for more of his great songs, I will just say check out another Legendary guitar G.O.A.T "Stevie Ray Vaughan - Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (From Live at the El Mocambo)" Jimi Hendrix was one of Stevie Ray's hero's and mentors, along with Albert King and B.B King.
