Affirmative Action, divorce ray-piing waaahmen, those Amber Heards and Karens, Wack on BLite crime? eF the US before it eF's you is what I tell my sons and their friends. Check out OJ Simpson's divorce proceedings, they explain a lot. Dump the wife before it's alimony for wife fellas! I wouldn't say plunk yourself down with a wife in Thailand out in a rice field, but again, did I mention the US suxs?
100%. I wouldn't be surprised if they portrayed expats in Thailand as deserters, and not willing to fight for the UK against Russia and small boats or aliens or anything they conjure up as a narrative these day.
Having worked for the BBC and watched its rapid fall from grace, my advice is stay clear, as it may damage your very enjoyable and informative channel.
I’m from Leeds and left the UK 15 years ago and moved to China. I was teaching in the UK and felt so under appreciated, not to mention pay freezes, reduction in pension and ridiculous mountains of paperwork. I’m still teaching in China, and manage 3 kindergarten teaching departments, and couldn’t be happier. Better working conditions, more prospects and a feeling I’m actually making a difference. And to be blunt, nicer, more well behaved kids. Best move I ever made.
And don’t forget there is probably a significant number of Westerners who are simply sick of their governments’ obsession with war, provocation and throwing money at geopolitical adventures.
That happens whether you're in your country or not. At least Trump got elected again and he's the only president during my lifetime who didn't enter multiple foreign wars.
Believe me the numbers would be much higher if it was easier. I’ve recently retired and moved to Hua Hin but I’m one of the lucky ones. Divorced and debt free with no grandkids, my mother is still living but lives with my sister. I also have a very supportive family but without all those things being in place I really doubt if I would’ve been able to make the move. That being said I’m so glad I did because in all honesty if I’d stayed in England I would’ve probably have had to work until I pegged it 😢
I'm visiting Thailand early next year and then the Philippines later next year in preparation for a move likely in 2026. Life in the UK is no good and now very expensive. Also it looks to get even worse given the corrupt successive governments and no realistic way of changing them out. The UK is now staring down the barrel of 5 years of this far left Labour government, so who knows the damage they will cause. If anyone has the opportunity to leave i would highly recommend it....
@@Paultball8392 I am not convinced it ever was great. Some people made an absolute killing out of empire, but it was always made on the backs of ordinary citizens and the exploitation of other countries. Now as long as 95% had a strong sense of their own community that perhaps didn't matter too much. That's what I miss. Greatness was always for other wealthier people, but I could enjoy life with other people who were great in a more social sense. And that does still exist in some UK rural communities. Likewise it was always Great for eternal overlords like Trump, but the rest of us have always had to put up with the side effects of over ambitous people. Communities everywhere have been deliberately trashed to enable people like Trump to feel like they are always important. I don't need greatness, like I also don't need any form of addiction.
I am leaving the UK in about a week, cost of living and tax increases did it for me. It is a great place with lots of history but its too expensive and too much bureaucracy now. I am looking forward to my next adventure!
It may be a combination of increased bureaucracy, cost of living, and the rapid creep of technology into everyday life. Thailand offers a reprieve to a simpler time with less interference into daily life.
Having been here in Thailand for 1 year using border runs and now an education visa, not once would I dare miss the immigration report deadline..the UK has gotten ridiculously soft with who they're letting into the UK. Vetted Legal = Good, Illegal = Bad. It is that simple.
Thailand has got ridiculously soft with who they're letting into their country. It's full of Russians and there are reports every week of Russians being arrested for illegally working there.
My friend from Lebanon have a solution. He said if one of the family members commit a crime expel the whole family. He went even further and said expel the whole kinship and make videos of when they are departing and will stop right away.
@@Milo-UK Voluntarily moving to a welcoming country is vastly different from being made to feel like a stranger in your own homeland as it changes for the worse. This is far from unique to England; it applies to all Western countries where the same radical/extremnist policies lead to the same decline.
@@Milo-UKI wonder if the Thai people are thinking this about Thailand because there are so many immigrants, sorry I mean "expats". If you're white you're not an immigrant you're an expat.
Ryan , I’m a 69 year old Australian , I watch what’s happening in the UK, George Orwell had a Crystal Ball, Australia not the country it was 30 years ago , I now prefer to spend most of my time in Thailand and Cambodia , Peter
I emigrated from the US to live in Thailand earlier this year. These are the main reasons I left. 1. The crime rate in the US is skyrocketing well beyond what the statistics suggest. In the past, common sense had always dictated that if you avoided the wrong neighborhoods and didn't wander around late a night you would remain safe. That is not true anymore. Criminals today are very mobile and a lot more brazen. They will venture into more affluent neighborhoods to bring crime to you at all hours of the day and night. 2. Growing up the mantra was always if you got a good education which enabled you to have a lucrative career, bought a home and had a loving family, you were living the "American Dream". The reality today is, if you're not making at least a six figure income you are likely barely getting by. This is because the government is turning a blind eye and in some cases even condoning corporate greed. Billionaires are taking over the country and bending over backwards to take care of their rich buddies to the detriment of the majority population. 3. The extremist nature of today's society has almost completely wiped out any kind of compromise between any group. It is impossible to have a successful and thriving society without compromise. The "my way or the highway”, approach to governing is simply destroying places that were once attractive to live in.
I am currently in Koh Samui and have just come from Bangkok. I have been in Thailand almost 2 months and I agree with Ryan about the difference between the islands and mainland Thailand. I spent 4 weeks in Bangkok and NEVER felt like I was in danger. In fact, this trip has opened my eyes to how amazing the Thai people are! This is one of the last countries where if you show respect to the locals you will feel welcome. The only people I see with problems are western idiots getting drunk and being disrespectful. The people of Thailand make this the best place in the world! I love them!
I really enjoyed this video. I moved to Europe from the UK nearly twenty years ago and am happy where I am but have been thinking about Asia for the last few years. One thing I wanted to touch on that you said about the UK, I went home in the summer and am going back for Xmas, and now and before my summer holiday I was actually scared to go back to the UK. Not because of the violence but because of the current government and the way they treat all of the British people. Turning people against each other, creating division and lack of freedom of speech. I'm worried about being arrested for saying something to someone in the wrong way. Really enjoyed the video 👍
More and more people are cancelling TV licences these days as the BBC loses respect here in the UK. I should be visiting family in Sangkha in March and hoping to move over within the next 12-15 months. Western countries don't have Western governments anymore; they have WEF-infiltrated governments, and that concerns me about Thailand, too. Keep on with the great videos. - both channels. 🙏🏻
As soon as I can sell my flat in Bolton I will retire in Thailand with my wife Terrible Government too many foreigners who don't integrate ,and lousy weather
I am retired here with my husband. I look forward to more couples coming together instead of older expat with younger Thai girls. It is increasing! And like here, more and more awesome people with age appropriate relationships
@@thenakedguru Hi Ryan I am from Astley Bridge Bolton I used to be proud to say I am from Bolton, but not anymore The decline is obvious to see, closed down shops, and pubs, boarded up buildings etc I envy you living in Thailand and enjoy your blogs Paul a Bolton Wanderer
I abandoned ship (W. London) in 2017, I became aware in 2016 when I was researching how to reverse my diabetes of the massive corruption and greed within the food and drug industry and later how widespread it was in many areas in the "West". To me, I could see clearly the road to absolute degeneracy and was fortunate enough to be financially independent, so I was fortunate to be able to live wherever I liked. Having had a relationship with Thailand since the 1980s, I decided to up sticks and take root here. Not trying to suggest I am some sort of visionary, but I'm not surprised at all with what has happened in my former home.
Party areas plus venues with alcohol consumption has always been a cause of people behaving violently. The last thing Thailand needs is foreign drug users settling permanently.
You're spot on mate with everything you've said. Im 32 left England 3 years ago been im Cambodia, no chance im working and paying tax to a country thats betrayed its own people. I wont go back.
Brilliant film and thoughts Ryan. Enjoyed listening to your commentary whilst decorating the Christmas tree here at the house in Bang Saray. Your words ring very true and struck a chord with me and my decision as to why I’m here. I think your interview for the, ‘Beeeb’ is right here. Although as others have said, beware, ‘Auntie Beeb’ is no longer what it used to be.
wether you want to be thai or not. you live in a thai community that makes you a part of the local. I am thai, for me If your live here have a family here, you are as much thai as everyone else in the community. and I think people like you are appreciated here. your knowledge customs and traditions such as christmas, will be passed on to your family. And yes the money too. money from foreingers will improve the society. simple. Take care
@mauxuwon6252 coming from A Thai person, your comment is greatly appreciated. I'm an Australian citizen who has a Thai fiancee and I hope to come to Thailand around the middle of next year, marry my wonderful lady and hopefully spend the rest of my life in rural Thailand with her. I intend to immerse myself into the Thai culture, with perhaps the exception of becoming a Buddhist, as most of my life I've never really been a religious person. What I always do though, is respect and accept the beliefs of others. A long time ago, when I was at school, I picked up French language quite easily and if I live in Thailand, I will do my best to learn your language. Thank you again
@@colinb8512 well you well be welcomed here fore sure. but you know that here in thailand we have downry for the bride right? plus some gold too haha choke dee means good luck
@thenakedguru Ryan, I love your "rants" as you call them. Always interesting to listen to. You got me thinking for a moment when you referred to some people as being "anti-social", you meaning a person isn't one to socialise much with others. Being a quieter personality, I'm a little like that. I don't go out of my way to mix with others, preferring to keep my social 'group' very small. In Australia, when we speak of someone as being "anti-social", we are normally referring to a person's bad behaviour that affects others in a negative way.. It seems to me that Western countries have become more difficult to live in over the past few decades as more and more people enter them, fleeing from wars, persecution and increasing violence and increasing extremist views. I think you might have been referring to this when mentioning "Islands" in Thailand, perhaps hinting at one large island.. I can't speak for England as my parents moved from there as I entered my teens, but after just over 50 years in Australia, particularly living in a city and listening to very little in the way of news articles/stories much anymore, I'll be quite relieved to get out of this society and move to rural Thailand as soon as I'm able to.
I've watched your channels for some time now. I believe that you do yourself a disservice, when you question if you are a model farang or the type of person that Thailand wants/needs. Thailand has plenty of Thai people - they have no need to import more from other countries. You try to bring the best of the UK with you, and leave the toxic baggage behind. You speak the Thai language and learn/respect the Thai culture/traditions, to the best of your ability and better than most farangs. You are living a honest life, following the laws of the country, paying your taxes, without playing any stupid games. You are taking care of your family, without being a burden to the people of Thailand, and raising your kids in a proper manner. Your business efforts contribute to Thai society, and do not take anything away from it. You do not tell your Thai neighbors how they should live, what they should change, and why their way is wrong & your way is right. You do not arrogantly pretend to be Thai, when you are not and can never be. If you are not the model farang that Thailand wants & deserves, then who is? :)
For myself, the Buddha energy that underlies the country is my draw to Thailand. I will arrive there yet in God’s time and divine order. In the meantime I have my own private ashram in the states surrounded by nature and wildlife and waking up to the sunlight of God beaming thru the trees surrounding my property brings me deep joy. I love your content as the simplicity is lovely and your essence comes thru the screen as very natural and sincere 🙏🏻
Western governments are obsessed with geopolitical adventures. And they are prepared to throw enormous sums of money at these adventures whilst demanding austerity at home.
Enjoyed how you put this one together especially the last few minutes about "your spaceship" I totally get that part and although not unwelcoming to others it's your space and how you both want to live 👍
great vlog, entertaining and insightful,im an expat living in chiang mai,so many of your reasons for living here in thailand are spot on,for me,safety, lack of petty rules ,regulations and taxes are the main reasons i'm here....as well as the great food ,cost of living, sunshine, friendliness ,health care etc etc that we take for granted now in thailand. And I feel i'm now a second class citizen in the UK,and i've seen the country (uk) change for the worse over the last 25 yrs, theres no future in the uk I feel....and the BBC's partly to blame for going along with that change for the worse....tell them that!
Moved to bkk 19 months ago. Quit the uk 🇬🇧 , retired early maybe too early from a financial point of view , but you make the best of it. The uk 🇬🇧 is unrecognisable from my childhood. Yes things change over time but .. no regrets here so far. Also never felt so safe here in Bangkok ..locals are very friendly here .. and I relate a lot to your comments Ryan 🙏
Thanks for this one Ryan! I know you loathe sensitive topics😉. It was nice reading what others think. Mostly respectful rhetoric. You’ve got a great following. Good people😉
The reason people are fleeing the UK and I'm feeling it increasingly myself it's just so depressing. Your money goes nowhere except into the governments coffers through taxation and paying for services that are vastly overcharged. The weather is miserable for probably 9 months of the year which makes the people miserable for the same amount of time or longer. I have lived in London for nearly 60 years as an Irish citizen and have loved living here but the decline in recent decades has become palpable to the point, if it wasn't for family ties I would have left long ago. Does Thailand have all the answers, of course not, but it has far more to offer than the UK currently (Hope) because in the UK hope is dead unless your an immigrant. You might say, well I'm an immigrant too which is true, however I could have claimed British citizenship at any point, even now because my parents were British subjects before partition in 1922. Heading to Thailand next month for 60 days at least. Whinge over. Stay clear of the BBC they will twist your words to suit themselves and paint you as probably a sex tourist that stayed.
Was chuckling away then. Been subscribed for many years, my parents are from Bolton and I grew up in Bridgend. So totally get what you are saying. Flying in r4 hours! Yay 1 month in Thailand.
I'm from Norwich, Norfolk. And I didn't notice much violence growing up there. But as you probably know Norfolk is a pretty quiet, low populated area of the UK. However, it's not as safe as it used to be. From what I've heard from friends and family still in the UK, they are fed up with the illegal immigrants being put up in the hotels all over the country, when there's homeless people from the UK, who are unable to get somewhere to stay. I think they are fed up with being lied to all the time from the government. Seems to just go round and round.
Hi Ryan, another interesting subject.. quite a big one.. I suspect the reason to immigrate is different for everyone.. The UK, like a majority of countries are experiencing a terrible chapter post Covid which seems to have pushed over the edge.. look at France currently.. a perfect storm is forming with Ukraine/russia, Israel and Hamas.. it’s a worrying situation which I hope doesn’t effect our lives here in thailand.. it’s going to take time to improve.. I’m choosing to live in thailand because it’s better currently.. and will probably be for the rest of my life.. and that’s my choice but I’m not being disloyal to my birth home.. I’m lucky to have the choice
I think everything you said was bang on. I am from the UK, lived in Australia, Thailand, Cambodia but Thailand still my favourite place to be here now. The Asians as you said love there own country and have respect. I honestly don't think I have met a westerner who has the same opinion of there own country. Sad but true.
Ever so interesting - most of your thoughts/opinions resonate with mine -you mention many foreigners not being partticularly friendly to other foreigners - I think that its partly a product of where we've come from - generally you don't interact with strangers, in the UK, and I think that we don't want to get involved while we are in Thailand. Plus, generally anyone who uproots themselves from life in the UK, are independent spirits who admire Thailand, the way of life, the people etc etc - we don't want to surround ourselves with the same 'doom and gloom' that we left behind. Thailand and Thai life is a new adventure for us, we want to keep it that way.
Meeting foreigners is a part of my life i like. I found a place on the beach road promenade where expats and travelers congregate. Always changing other than a few others, so very interesting and new conversations with different farangs most evenings. As populations grow places like Thailand will grow, some escape , some like you settle and start a family. and some like me retire. Good rant and discussion Ryan. Thank you
I lived in south London born and bred , now living in rural burriram, been here 4 years now and absolutely no intention to ever return to london . Moving here the best thing ive ever done ! When walking in the high street in Woolwich and seeing crime happen infront of my eyes and not hearing one English voice i knew it was time to go! This was 4 years aga now its worse . Ive never felt safer and happier than i do now . 🏴🇬🇧
Excellent video. For me, the principal reasons why people like us emigrate from the West to Thailand. They are 1. The warm climate. 2. Much cheaper cost of living, which leads to overall better quality of life - mostly outdoors rather than indoors. 3. Cheap & top quality health care system. Fresher organic foods, safer environment and social life in select locations are lesser but equally important reasons.
Been following your channel from UK for some time now. Pleased to say we just bought 4 rai down in Chumphon to build our new homestead. My Thai wife and I have both lived all over the world but are pretty fed up of life in UK now. We're returning to Thailand well aware of its economic issues and lack of opportunities. Her family can't understand why we would move back to Thailand but they have never lived in UK! The cost of replacing our roof in UK is the same as the entire cost of the 3 bedroom house we have planned in Thailand.
The comments posted here about the BBC clearly come from Daily Mail/Sun/Express readers and GB News/Talk Tv viewers. Don't be fooled, UK is still a very tolerant country and full of good people.
Its the baby boomer generation , Guys who worked through the 80's and 90's and beyond in well paid blue collar jobs with good pensions, brought Houses which have gone up massively in Value and are now in a Financial position to move to somewhere which is warmer and a lot cheaper and since Brexit there is nowhere easier to live legally if you are over 50 than Thailand. The trouble starts when they have a accident or fall sick and realise what health care costs, people in the UK complain about the cost of prescriptions but when they have to pay in Thailand they shit themselves.I am from the UK I now live in Vietnam, I never slag the UK off it gave me everything I have and I hate it when people do.
73 now, tried Spain (bit chilly) washed up here, been here 20 yrs now, best move I ever made, nothing to criticise except the folk who try to change it when they arrive and some of the vloggers .... 55 UK is finished.
Worked & lived in the UK left during 2008 many years in the Middle East moved with my company Thailand 9 years moved to work & live in Laos I’ll never live in the England again I’m a lifer…!!!
Same reasons why i'm planning to leave Australia to Thailand in the near future. By the way at around 1.20 timeline you walked passed what looked to me like a deciduous tree 🌳 with lighter coloured leaves? What exactly is that? Looks nice contrasting woth the darker foliage or surrounding trees. Something like that would go very well in my Issan farm 😊 possibly as a feature tree.
Don't forget Canada, a lot of us moving out. Vancouver, my great hometown, has some of the most expensive housing in the west. The cost of everything has increased with inflation, wages were very low, and we are overtaxed. I am retired thank God, and I plan to relocate.
I've spent 14 years of my younger years in Thailand and returned to the UK two years ago with a, then, 9 year old and a new born (and Thai wife, unusually older than me). I don't think your subscribers are necessarily sufficient to form an opinion of the UK now. I left in 2008, returned in 2022. It isn't massively different other than the costs of necessities are significantly higher. Rent, utilities, council tax, food all much increased, but so is minimum wage (soon to be over £12/hour). I live in mid Wales, not the valleys that you mentioned which are no different now to 30 years ago. I can walk around with no fear of getting stabbed, my now 11 year old gets about town, gets on the bus between towns, she's not unsafe. When you exclude the islands from Thailands "danger" feeling, well, let's exclude London and other big cities and the country is suddenly incredibly safe. If you walked around a rural Welsh village, just like a rural Thai village, I can promise you you would feel safe as can be. I'm concerned your often open mind is being closed by the opinions of some one eyed followers. Then you brought up freedom of speech. Your channel hasn't been blocked in the UK. However, if you were to start talking about certain people in Thailand, it would be very quickly shut down. Thailand is very far from a haven of free speech. Taxing bitcoin gains, an investment that should be taxed like everything else. You might not like it in the same way I don't like the taxes I pay on income of my investments, but it's a fact of life. Thailand has recently shown an increased willingness to tax non-Thai based income. As much as you praise your son's school now, you might find it lacking in years to come. Many do, and what you say, often very open minded (and I appreciate it, I don't always agree with you) may not conform with a Thai school's take on things, and in school as kids get older, alternative views are respected less and less. I vowed never to return to the UK, but after 14 years I did for the benefit of my wife and kids. I was making six figure salaries at international schools in Thailand but money wasn't it all. In our situation we decided to return to the UK for an as yet undecided length of time. Britain has many positives, as does Thailand, I will return to Thailand one day, but it's not a simple case of one is this, one is that, one is better, one is worse. Keep an open mind, the UK might be a choice you make in the future.
I simply provided real data to suggest why it might be that the BBC is investigating people moving Taxing UNREALIZED gains is not the same as taxing gains As I said many love the UK and I wish to see the best for it
Get into the Uk illegally and get everything for free,4 star hotel, food, clothes, cigarettes, medical, clothing. Born and bred there you pay and become a 2nd class citizen...Starmers Britain .....
Dude you keep being you doing what you do with your beautiful family . Many people think you have to change who you are when you move to a different country . I myself lived. In France for about 7 years as a English man. I have many tattoos look a bit out there but if you give respect you get it back. Anyway love what your do peace out dude .🇬🇧
A notable fact Ryan is the most migrants accepted to Australia are now from India with UK being lower down the list, probably due to political, wealth & skill for preference. You should do the BBC article as they are mostly for entertainment pages! By the way a young visiting Thai/Oz 14yr old getting to know his mother & culture came to a sad end
i agree with most of that one thing you never touched on is policing here in the UK you never see any, i see plenty in thailand and there not afraid to deal with people its something we are missing
They messaged us aswell and asked if we would like to be in the doc. But i agree, i think our opinion would be too strong for what they would like to hear. love your content though mate :)
Messing with Thai way of life and culture as you said. My Issan wife was horrified when I suggested buying a tractor and enlarging her and neighbors rice fields for efficiency.
Good rant!!!! Depressing for me here in the UK. I don’t look forward to my children’s future here. The plan is to head East and create our own future. Not just yet. But we will.
You touched on the western concept of personal space/privacy which I think is quite different to southeast Asian culture. I was on holiday with my family visiting my wife's family in the region. I was there 2 weeks but I felt a bit claustrophic with the wife's family calling over to our accomodation daily calling in. The whole concept of your home is your private sanctuary I very much understand. I think it applies also in the west never to get too chummy with your neighbours as fallings out do often happen.
I don't like the sort of TV/ youtube and flocking to Thailand. Am I being selfish?t I don't want people going to Thailand it will become unaffordable prices will go up and the culture will change.I am from near Bolton (Preston) which is becoming like the third world particularly the town centre.
True mate. Already saw some Pakis from the streets of England travel or move to Thailand. The Thai gvt lets everyone get in that's the problem. Only white caucasian European western farangs should be allowed a visa. No more Chinese, Paki, Arabs etc
Im in Radcliffe and this area is undergoing rapid change in a cultural and diversity way. The crime is rife and the police do nothing. This country is finished and will never be what it was or anything close to it. The BBC would never broadcast the real reasons why ethnic British people can't wait to get out of here, they will twist to suit their agenda. In in Thailand in six days for three months and will keep trying to establish long term stay in Thailand. Will be visiting my girlfriend in Surin while I'm there, certainly very different than Sriracha!
Mate... I used to drink in Liquid. Yes there was a threat of violence, and easy to go home with a black eye... But trust me, it's a different world from 20 years ago. If the BBC don't stitch you up, i'd be very surprised, but you know that if you've watched it in the last 10 years.
Have built a house in Sakon Nakhon province currently working on a online income stream so I can get out of the UK and don't have to wait till pension age .Sadly things here are falling apart.
Whilst I agree that violence has increased dramatically in London in my lifetime, stabbings in London are generally associated with "gang warfare" most people can easily avoid these issues if they want. There are plenty of incidents of Thai kids stabbing and shooting each other in places like Bangkok and Pattaya. Although I find it far safer in Thailand, it maybe through rose tinted glasses and lack of awareness of everything going on around me and the dodgy stuff going on in the shadows. It would be naive to think there are no issues in Thailand among the indigenous folks or between the Cambodians, Laos or Burmese.
I agree, plenty off issues with violence and drugs as mentioned Interested to hear from someone that has lived there - my task was to propose some reasons why Brit’s wish to leave 👍
Its egg-zac-lee what the govt wants, all the oldtimers leaving will save the govt a packet on health care and pensions plus free up homes for the younger and fitter new comers that will work for half the cost.
The US is a disaster! I have lived in Thailand for 5 plus years now and will never move back to the US. I have only been back once for a visit and do not miss it one bit. I am much more relaxed and happy in Thailand. Also, Asia in general Is a great place to travel as places like Japan and Vietnam are great in their own right. The US is so divided and crime ridden, plus the cost of everything is out of control as healthcare is outrageous. I left the corporate world as you did. I do not regret it and do not miss that realm of life either. Keep up the great content and take care!
I hate talking to people from the countryside about state of the UK. They're still in the fluffy naive stage about migration because they haven't effing had to deal with it/don't see the scale.

The utter irony of the BBC wanting to get involved with this topic when the legacy media in the West is a huge part of the problem 😂
I’d skip doing anything with BBC as they will attempt to steer it to their biased narrative.
You are not the first that said this - I glad. I mentioned it as I wouldn’t have considered this 👍
Anyone who affiliates with the BBC is either a state operative or very naive.

Having worked for the BBC and watched its rapid fall from grace, my advice is stay clear, as it may damage your very enjoyable and informative channel.
It’s a good point, thanks for the advice.
❤ I bet what you say is so true
Good on you. Well done.
And don’t forget there is probably a significant number of Westerners who are simply sick of their governments’ obsession with war, provocation and throwing money at geopolitical adventures.
The obsession with political correctness is an imminent danger to the west.
It is important to remember that if you want peace, you unfortunately have to show strength by preparing for war.
Mass immigration and woke agenda sickens people the most …
That happens whether you're in your country or not.
That being said I’m so glad I did because in all honesty if I’d stayed in England I would’ve probably have had to work until I pegged it 😢
Congratulations Brian 👍
I'm visiting Thailand early next year and then the Philippines later next year in preparation for a move likely in 2026. Life in the UK is no good and now very expensive. Also it looks to get even worse given the corrupt successive governments and no realistic way of changing them out. The UK is now staring down the barrel of 5 years of this far left Labour government, so who knows the damage they will cause. If anyone has the opportunity to leave i would highly recommend it....

Thanks for sharing, interested to know from people on the ground
It may be a combination of increased bureaucracy, cost of living, and the rapid creep of technology into everyday life. Thailand offers a reprieve to a simpler time with less interference into daily life.
Having been here in Thailand for 1 year using border runs and now an education visa, not once would I dare miss the immigration report deadline..the UK has gotten ridiculously soft with who they're letting into the UK. Vetted Legal = Good, Illegal = Bad. It is that simple.

Thanks for sharing Mikaela!
You forget effenist unmarriagable western women.

I abandoned ship (W.
I'm way more concerned from coming to harm from Thai wildlife than I am from Thai's. But the exact opposite applies in the UK

I'm visiting Thailand soon from England. RUclips recommend your channel
This particular video is the most sublime reflection on life in Thailand I have seen on RUclips by a westerner. That’s my opinion anyway.
Superb vlog.
Meeting foreigners is a part of my life i like. I found a place on the beach road promenade where expats and travelers congregate. Very well said Ryan. We hope to see you on the Bbc to bring some sanity to the discussion.
4. Freedom

I simply provided real data to suggest why it might be that the BBC is investigating people moving
Taxing UNREALIZED gains is not the same as taxing gains
As I said many love the UK and I wish to see the best for it

Dude you keep being you doing what you do with your beautiful family . Many people think you have to change who you are when you move to a different country . I myself lived. In France for about 7 years as a English man. I have many tattoos look a bit out there but if you give respect you get it back. Anyway love what your do peace out dude .🇬🇧
Two people got murked here In Phuket? Days ago...
One of the shootings was at my mates local in middle of the evening...
Did you ever hear back from them?
A number of subscribers have warned me not to take part in
Also ryan i always feel safe in Thailand. I don't in uk at all 😊😊
Messing with Thai way of life and culture as you said.
Very true no border controls
Yes touch on this later in the vlog, its happening already
True mate. Already saw some Pakis from the streets of England travel or move to Thailand. The Thai gvt lets everyone get in that's the problem. Only white caucasian European western farangs should be allowed a visa. No more Chinese, Paki, Arabs etc
Things change, as long as you are proactive then you could stay ahead of the changes you don't like.
I lived in Phuket from late 2021 until recently. It's fooooked!!!
You seem very happy in your space ship!
What part of Thailand do you live ?
Sincerely, Thank You.
Buriram :)
The fact that bbc would ask the question says it all
Whilst I agree that violence has increased dramatically in London in my lifetime, stabbings in London are generally associated with "gang warfare" most people can easily avoid these issues if they want.
I agree, plenty off issues with violence and drugs as mentioned
Interested to hear from someone that has lived there - my task was to propose some reasons why Brit’s wish to leave 👍
Uk is a breeding ground for the lowlifes
Where in Thailand are you exactly ?
Its egg-zac-lee what the govt wants, all the oldtimers leaving will save the govt a packet on health care and pensions plus free up homes for the younger and fitter new comers that will work for half the cost.
I'm back in UK working a trade making a grand a week sleeping in my van. Same job in Thailand the worker would make a tenner a day 😅
You found an awesome way to beat the system and more power to you 👍👍👍
The US is a disaster!
