The first 9K33 Osa air defense system entered service with the Soviet Army in 1970 (officially adopted on October 4, 1971).
Destruction zone of air targets at the range of the Osa air defense missile system (Osa-AK/AKM air defense missile system):

. affected area by altitude: 50 - 5,000 m (25 - 5.000 m)
. target speed: 420 m/s (500 m/s)

I did a bit of British Army service in the mid 1970s and looked into the equipment employed by the Warsaw Pact. A lot of it seemed impressive then and they kept refining it and upgrading it. Great Video. Valuable for history too. Thank You.
