Im from Europe, and I went to Australia for vacation and got to watch 3 of these games live (Freo vs. Richmond, Dees vs. Dogs, and Dons vs Pies) cant belive I go so lucky.

Draw, Goal after the siren, 3 mark of the year contenders, two almost comebacks from port and Essendon and a crazy comeback from the dogs, very high scoring also
I was at the Collingwood vs dons sitting right where Jamie Eliot kicked it, I was out for 2 weeks sick and couldn’t talk for 3. One of the best games you will ever watch. GO PIES ⚫️⚪️

As a Collingwood supporter, watching Richmond whiff twice at winning the game was the highlight of the week 😏
There was a lot of craking games this weekend including this one! Doggies With Jammara, Tigers Choke and Elliot Carry

Round 20 2018 in my opinion.
Geelong vs Richmond: Ablett misses late and Richmond win by 3
Hawthorn vs Essendon
Worpel puts hawthorn 10 points up and colyer brings it back but hawthorn win by 4
North vs Brisbane
Cam Rayner misses late for north to win by 3
Sydney vs Collingwood
Alex Johnson comes back after 6 years not playing, Tom McCartin dribbles a goal late for the swans to win by 2
The dubious showdown where josh Jenkins may/may not have hit the post in a 3 point crows win
The famous western derby where Gaff clocked Bradshaw in the jaw.
I could be wrong but I think there was also a round in 2018 where every team ranked lower on the ladder won their respective games.

As a tiges fan, I can't not laugh at that freo game. We did everything we could to not win that game, while also doing everything we could to not lose that game.

Best season by far in like from the start of the season
3:34 end to end in 20 seconds what a play by the hawks
Yeah the game has opened up again with a few rule tweaks, making it more watchable & exciting. It's much better than it was 5-10 years back. I remember how great our game was through the 70s, 80s & 90s. All attack, 100 goal kicking full forwards most years. Defenders had to defend against great forwards. More contests & less keepings off 400+ disposal junk games. Minimising interchanges has made it a contest of endurance as well, which is great.

Over rated,..there were better things to watch,..and here they are.
Best games this year thanks to the umpiring.They have finally started to let it go, and stopped with the unwatchable ticky touch soft frees at 50m penalties. The game is more free flowing and the contest is better. Umpires only paying the obvious. If they were instructed to umpire EVERY game like the grand final the game would be far more watchable.
Nah pay the frees then the players start umpiring themselves. Putting away the whistle never ends well

*They aren't "ooooing" they are actually yelling "Woooff" everytime Saad kicks the footy like back in the day when Val Perovic got the "Woooff" everytime he kicked the ball. Carlton decided to bring back the "Woooff"*

There have been 2 more significant rounds in my memory than this.
Round 22 1981 is a classic example. With finals looming the top 5 was to be shaped. Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and Geelong fighting out the top 4 spots. Fitzroy, Richmond and Hawthorn fighting for 5th.
Matches: Geelong v Essendon; Collingwood v Fitzroy; Richmond v Carlton and Hawthorn v Melbourne. Wet day ensued. Fitzroy's win over Collingwood sealed 5th. Carlton sealed top spot winning over Richmond. Geelong sealed the double chance defeating Essendon.
Then Round 22 1987. Carlton would finish on top defeating 4th placed North. Melbourne would defeat Footscray to finish 5th which also stopped Geelong who would lose to Hawthorn who would finish 2nd.
Pretty good but week 1 of finals might have been even better

Elliot marked with 31 on the clock… after the siren would mean he took his full 30 secs which would be play on? I hate both teams so I don’t really care about the result but the clock doesn’t lie
He started walking in before the 30 seconds, stop reaching
Its because he started his run-up at roughly 4 seconds on the clock, once you start your run-up the set shot clock stops, and also you could hear the umpire blow his whistle to start his run-up right as he started to walk
Also he could’ve just started his run up again since the siren sounded
