Hey! Nice video! It's nice to see what you are working on. I like the idea of pattern tests as well. Although I wish I could've seen more of the pattern test results. It looked cute from what little footage you showed. Also, I'm working on a heart granny square tote bag. Also, one tip with crocheting the zipper. The reason why it was buckling up so much is because there were too many stitches on it. instead of putting one stitch in each hole, it might be better to do decreases in 2 stitches around OR to just put one stitch every other stitch.
