The Canadian life at first can be very daunting for any and everyone who is new to the shores of the country.. Many factors that add to the inner state of feeling lonely are: 1) Eating meals alone, since everyone has a diff schedule, 2) Being disconnected from family in India due to time diff, 3) Solo travels to and from College, 4) Being overworked or remaining too idle, 5) Being a victim of FOMO especially missing out on hanging over long weekends, partying and the list goes on! As someone who has been through this experience as well as feeling while in Toronto I relate a 100% Being content and spending time to reflect on your weekly/monthly goals will help push out that fear of loneliness, nothing better than playing a sport or working out or even visiting a place of worship to keep this feeling at bay.. very content rich vlog Shreya..🙌
I used to be lonely before but recently in the last 2 years I have developed my Social skills and become more of a Extrovert, and am very comfortable going up to random people and talking to them right now I'm in my FInal Semester and I have gotten to talk to a lot of new people mainly Indian International Students especially in my college, which is Centennial College in Scarborough. Also joining different Programs in the last few years at my Church helped me become more Social person.
