Ellen and Devon were one of the most realistic mother/daughter pairs on AMC, and daytime TV in general. 1983 arguably AMC's best year with supercoupls like Cliff/Nina and Jesse/Angie.
Sad that we never saw Devon or Ellen again when the characters left the show (Devon in 1983 and Ellen in 1989). Brining Devon back after Ellen left in 1989 would have been awesome.
Devon developed "feelings" for her psychiatrist Lynn Carson (Donna Pescow Saturday Night Fever), when she didn't reciprocate, she decided to leave with her daughter and start a new life.
I never could really stand Nina/Cliff. Just a syrupy sweet couple that didn't interest me. BUT, Cliff was a great person, husband, father (that I can remember). He loved Nina with all his heart. I could never understand why Palmer hated his guts SO much! Cliff is the perfect man! Yet, Palmer approved of Steve/Nina. Don't get me wrong, I actually saw great chemistry with Nina and Steve. I just can't fathom why Palmer wouldn't love Cliff to be Nina's life mate!!!!
Love Jesse & Angie thanks for sharing! I simply can not wait for their return & am so excited

Wow Donna Pescow on AMC.
And Lisa P. From Love was in Saturday and fever.. too... That issue was hinted at back in 83 ??
I love seeing Ellen be a grandma...she just looks like the epitome of a grandma. Unlike Erica, she also admits to being one! LOL
I think Ellen came back for 25th anniversary January 1995. It's more then a storyline it's a legacy
Devon and Bonnie just left Pine Valley together...years ago
No, Jack Wagner was never on AMC ;)
Buggy Bear was Angie's father.
@Peaches J Ah the wit of the 21st Century cellphone. The Auto Correction has no idea who Huggy Bear is. Many Thanks.😄 Enjoy Your Day👍
