How to Change Oil and Filter on a 2009 Honda CRV

Requirements:
Floor jack
2 jack stands (do not work under cars held up by a floor jack)
17mm wrench or socket/rachet set
3/8" rachet or breaker bar
Oil filter wrench
5 quarts oil (check viscosity on your filler cap)
Filter
Shop rags and paper towels
Catch pan
Safety glasses

Great video. Aside from opening oil cap after heating up car and before changing the filter, make sure to lube up the filter o-ring with fresh oil.

Thanks for taking the time to take this video and share. I would even throw "Jack Points" or "Lift points" in the title or related search tags...I knew how to change the oil, BUT this is the BEST video I have seen that shows exactly wear to jack the 2009 C-RV up and where to put the jack stands...thumbs up on that!!!!

You missed a ton of steps. Install new crush washer on oil filter, always wipe down the inner area of the oil filter before installing

That oil filter is way over tightened, never use a tool to install! Hand tight is all you need! 😳

Remove oil cap and dip stick for better drainage, before you remove oil drain plug. Also wipe oil filter clean before installing new oil filter. Your oil level is too low, fill to the top notch on the dip stick !

Overall, great video...but I would highly recommend staying away from Fram filters. I work for a filter company and the quality of those are terrifying. I wouldn't put one anywhere close to my own car.
