I'm a Ukrainian and a huge Klitschko fan. That said, he fought well, but Lewis has won this fight. Klitschko admitted after a decade that a stoppage was the best call, he still thought he could have won the fight, but that could cost him his vision or a whole carrier.
    Both are Legends. Respect.

Bohdan Hamulets, thanks for your unbiased statement. I am physician and I can't describe myself a fan of either of the 2 boxers. I believe stopping that fight was the best decision. It is a sport and not a matter of life and death. Vladmir would have ended that match with a visual disability if not stopped. Lennox kept on targeting the area of injury. Compare that match with that of Deboir Vs Joe Joyce

      Not Wladimir Klitshko,
it was his older brother Vitali Klitshko !
Wlad is they with the beter skills and more punching Power, between the two brothers.
But his older brother has the Chin and the harder core - he was the better fighter between both !
I’m a huge fan of both but Vitali Klitshko against Lennox Lewis was a superb fight !!!
I saw the fight live ( at home ) .
That was a fight that let’s no breath, was a fight of Titans
Both have the force In their hands, that was able by one punch 🥊 to win the fight !!!
But the stopping of the fight was the best decision, for the Fighter with the cut.
Think 🤔 Vitali Klitshko have not clear seen, with the blood 🩸 in his eyes.
He have in the end lose both, the fight and his health !
Both are super skilled fighters that have they’re names in the hall of Fame of Boxing.
Both are Legends in they’re own rights.

Well I got 3 rounds for Lewis and 3 Rounds for Klitschko.
I also know quite a bit about boxing and the rules and that was an illegitimate loss for Klitschko the first couple rounds Klitschko out boxed Lewis which I've never seen anyone do it like that before. Lewis started to figure out Klitschko in the third round and started laying in some big heavy shot and some people forget Lennox Lewis had one hell of a punch. I'm also surprised Vitali Klitschko didn't knock him out with that right hand in the second. Vitali Klitschko came back in the fifth round but Lennox Lewis with them uppercuts in the 6 round ended it. Lennox Lewis was not in his prime and Vitali Klitschko really was in the fight. It was smart of Lennox Lewis to retire he probably would have lost the second fight. Vitaly started having a lot of problems with his knees a few years later and allowed his brother to rule the roost for 10 years it could have easily been him. I thank doctor Iron Fist was better than his little brother. But this was a legitimate loss history will remember Lennox Lewis as being one of the greatest heavyweights ever

@Jim Byrne you have to analyse a bit more, Lewis was at the end of his career and vitali was a young and hungry fighter. Lewis probably asked himself the question, could he motivate himself and take the risk or retire at the top. Look at Tyson who was finished a washed up fighter but carried on and got beat by Lewis, Williams, mcbride (even I could beat mcbride). Lewis was smart with his money and didn't need the pay days, hence took the smart move and maintained his legacy.

It was an easy division outside of the K brothers & easy $$ would've been hard for him to pass up. The division was a laughing stock. They are from the same generation of fighters that have & do fight past 40...not 2x/yr, but with a 9 month gap perhaps to fully rest, train & fight. Vitaly wasn't exactly a young 26 either. comments on here about Lennox 'to afraid to fight'. not many heavyweights are afraid. Lennox never gained popularity in the States which may influence some of these comments. Klitschko's face would not have stood up to many more rounds. He would have needed to stop Lennox which he may or may not have done. 6 years are are lot to give away in boxing at this weight. i personally take no pleasure in any boxer getting older and being destroyed or stripped of titles by younger stronger men. To go out as the current champ was his right if a rematch was the reason he retired of which just like the keyboard warriors on here I have no idea. Try a little respect for what he achieved.

    • @Tampa370

Lennox got rematches to his loses and that was generous from those opponents. When it was Lennox's turn to do a rematch to a legit challenge he retires ?? That move will make plenty wonder and it should. Just because Klitschko had that cut doesn't make it certain the rematch would have been worse. That would be saying in those Lennox Kos losses would be worse the second time if he faces that same fighter, was it ?. I think we(fans) got robbed of a rematch, excuses about Lennox age and he would destroy Klitschko easily is garbage. Not taking up the challenge and retiring will make people say he ran. Lennox created this by his actions and he's the one who could have taken the rematch and laid to rest this talk but he didn't he basically ran away by retiring.

@@Tampa370 Generous? Rahman had to be taken to court to honour the rematch clause. He was not doing Lewis a favour. Lewis had to also go through the courts to get to McCall for a second time but I'm not sure why, to be honest. As for a rematch being worse for Klitschko, the comment you've replied to does not say that, at all. Lewis said he wanted to retire on top, and he has said in more than one interview regarding the Klitschko fight that, as far as he's concerned, "At my worst, I beat him at his best." You can either accept that that's his perspective on it or get more pissed off that you didn't get the rematch you think you deserve as a fan. I don't understand why so many of you resent this man retiring on his own terms. If he went ahead with the rematch and lost badly, you'd all be gloating about it and criticising him for being too egotistical to think he could beat a much younger man and saying that he should've retired after the first match. MAYBE you should be thankful that Lewis agreed to this fight at all, as it's what made Vitali famous.

He was always looking to end it with a big shot, didn’t move his head, didn’t throw many jabs, clung on excessively and seemed pretty much out of breath from the first round-all of course symptoms you would never associate with a great champion past his best !!!!
For me when Lewis really thought he could lose, he was pretty much unbeatable. Quick, smart, cautious and energetic. In those early years with Steward he was fantastic. But when he didn’t think he could lose he usually descended to his opponent’s level and ended up playing Russian roulette.

But that nasty job came from heavy punches from Luis, so what are you talking about now. He beat him hands down. Vitali could perhaps have died in the ring if that fight had continued. His face was messed up

carlos oliveira Larry ain’t shit - he managed to avoid your right hand - left side of Klitschko’s face is torn up like $2 pussy
Either 4/5’s of fuckall right hands did the damage and a few more would mean surgery
      Or........
He landed his right effectively enough and that caused the damage which with reduced sight capacity in his left eye would likely continue
Take your pick - Larry don’t know his arsehole from his elbow n this one
