    Another great tutorial, Peter! By the way, what's your favorite stage in the drawing process? I'm torn between initial shading and the fleshing out phase!

    • @petermahoney89
      @petermahoney89  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! I love the initial shading, the process where the image takes real contour, it's quick and sketchy. Most of my drawings end at this stage, I don't finish everything.

    What is the best way to attach the paper? Should it be in an upright position or should it lie on the table? And how is better to draw standing or sitting?

    • @petermahoney89
      @petermahoney89  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for the question. For holding the paper on the board I use plastic clamps... And about position, it depends mostly on what you're drawing, if you're just doodling of course you can draw straight on the table, but if you want to do something serious, portrait for instance, it's definitely better to have paper vertically - observation is better, linework is better, there's much more accuracy. And standing or sitting, I honestly don't know, I think it depends on how big the format is that you're drawing on...

    Whose plaster head is the simplest? Where should I start drawing plaster heads?

    • @petermahoney89
      @petermahoney89  6 месяцев назад +1

      The simplest way to learn drawing heads is to start with planar plaster heads. This will teach you how to set shading values in the simplest form. I would also like to make a tutorial for that in the future. Type to Google planar plaster cast and you'll find many references to draw... Stick to the basics and keep improving!
