im so glad 10 year old me asked for lord of the rings and hobbit sets for christmas instead of something like ninjago, i have the battle at the black gate set, council of elrond set, mirkwood elf army set, and duel of the wizards set. I don’t regret it one bit, lego truly outdid themselves with these minifigs the detail is incredible
I was lucky that my dad was willing to buy me like a dozen of the $2 uruk hai polybags when he spotted them in the shops so I ended up with a decent sized little army.
I remember when I got the Elrond polybag, I complained to Lego that he came with a short cape when the polybag itself showed him with a regular cape, so they sent me a regular one. Still got to keep the short cape! Lego is such a great company :)

my favorite lego lord of the rings minifigure is elrond from the last allagiance (the polybag) i don't have it and i really wish i did but i can't find it for les then 50 euro's and i'm not gonna spend so much money so i'll have to hope lego redoes him someday though probebly noy..

Gabriel Hormuth The drunken elves scene is, but the barrel escape is changed a lot. In the book the dwarves were simply hiding within the barrels that were tied together to a raft.
I never liked these elves figures, because they can't rotate their head (because of the long hair). This defeats the entire purpose of using the bow and arrow like LEGO originally intented it for minifigures.
