Pink Martini is an ensemble band from Portland, Oregon (where I live!) and I was SOOOO stoked to hear one of their songs in Sherlock! Chynna Forbes (Pink Martini's lead singer) is the one heard in the show.
My mother emigrated from Palestine to Venezuela in 1959 and a few years later she had a daughter she called Yolanda because of this song. Yolanda now suffers from a genetic disease call "ataxia". But she's there, with my mom, together. It's so nice to hear this song thanks the internet.
So here I was, having dinner in this excellent restaurant, when some freaky waiter comes up to me and tells me about the different kinds of wine they serve. I was kind of weirded out, but I was more focused on how I was going to propose to my girlfriend. A few moments later, creepy waiter was back. It turned out that he was actually my best friend, and that he wasn't actually dead. So I was trying to stay calm and my GF was freaking out, but then he insulted me and I tackled him. So yeah, not the best memories with this song.
