Grapefruit Marinade

  • Ingredients:
    - 2 grapefruits
    - 2 garlic cloves, minced
    - ¼ cup olive oil
    - 2 tbsp. zest
    - 1 tsp cayenne pepper
    - 1 tsp black pepper
    - ¼ tsp salt
    - 1 tbsp. basil, chopped
    - 2 tsp rosemary, chopped
    - ¼ cup honey/brown sugar (optional)
    Directions:
    1. Zest the grapefruit.
    2. Cut the grapefruits in half and squeeze them into a bowl.
    3. Finely chop the rosemary, basil, and mince the garlic.
    4. Add the rosemary, basil, garlic, olive oil, zest, cayenne pepper, and black pepper into the bowl.
    5. You can add up to ¼ cup of honey/brown sugar if desired. Add salt to taste.
    6. Marinade your meat of choice for 1-3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
