  • When most shield sovs look pretty much the same, how do you know which are the ones worth buying?

    Nice video. That's a lovely coin. I must say it's the first I have heard about the kiss curl, I will be looking out for it in future. Thanks.

    Numi. I just want you to know I’m just a simple coin collector from America. I enjoy each of you videos. I didn’t even know what a sovereign was until you introduced them to me via your channel. I feel as if I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. It saddens me when I read caustic comments left by some arrogant viewers. Please remember that simple guys like me look forward to ALL of your videos. Kill them with kindness my friend. Semper Fidelis from a U.S. Marine. Dave

    Very nice coin! I personally like AU58 grade coins more than MS60/61. Lower grade MS coins look pretty beat up to me and the only reason they are MS is because of luster and full strike. For me however, nice field of 58 is more important than luster with scratches of a 60/61 .

    I purchased an 1864 “Shieldback” Die #96 which is now with NCS for conservation & subsequent grading. I’m hoping it will return as an AU 55-58. Unfortunately, no MS 63 for my coin Mr. Numi

    Just got my 1st 2 from ebay and checked them with jeweller, not knowledgable enough to know how good the quality is but 1901 and 1913 both look good to me although I don't think they are gradable :)

    Hi Numi, I really enjoy your video's, in this one you mention Andrew Holds coin dealer using ebay, can you give out the name that he uses on ebay, I would dearly love to find a shop on ebay that sells quality coins that I can bid on when funds are available.
    Keep up the great work, many thanks

      Crown Collector what coins do you concider as "the real stuff" then? I know you don't like the modern stuff with High premiums. But I have trouble/doubts buying lets say a 200 year old 25 gr 72% silver coin for 500€. Can you enlighten me O great and mighty Crown.

    • @alexanderrdevoogt3235
      @alexanderrdevoogt3235 6 лет назад

      Crown Collector okey let's take a 100 year old 25gr 72% silver coin that cost 200€ then.

    • @alexanderrdevoogt3235
      @alexanderrdevoogt3235 6 лет назад

      Crown Collector all kidding aside I think you know what I'm trying to say. For now I rather buy a 2018 30gr .999 silver panda for 28€ then a 1843 2,5 Gulden 25 gr .945 silver for 275€. That's a lot of money for a little bit of old silver.
