You sterilise your jars first, then fill in the chutney, close the lid firmly and turn the jars upside down for a while to let the air bubbles out. You can then turn them over again, check for a second time, if the lids are screwed on properly, let the chutney cool down, label the jars of you like to and store them in a dark cool place such as your storage cupboard or pantry.

Personally I haven't tried this recipe but will shortly and if it doesn't seal I will pop the lids on and cover the jars in a deep pot and rolling boil for 15 minutes.
