These 2 loved each other, but so much obstacles in their way and different times, but at the end he truly told her how he felt. She in turn couldn’t denied she was in love with him. They both didn’t want to love each other for Theo, but at the end they couldn’t hold back. So much chemistry between them. ❤❤❤

@@GoatReality well great Britain is a small island, and the aristocrats and wealthy are always in the same circle, so if they follow the plot like in the original series, Nan will resume her life as a duchess and find out how hard it is as a duchess, and I am not sure what they will do with Theos character because in the original series, theo is bisexual and hiding it, whereas in this one theo is in love with Nan. Maybe his character will change in being more reserved and Nan will find that life difficult, possibly bringing tension to their marriage. In the original series, Guy is cash poor, his father has tons of debt that is why he couldn't afford to marry just for love...but luckily he is an engineer in the old series...in the new one, they didn't say whether he had a profession. But he decided to go to Brazil to try and make a fortune there as engineer and he succeeds and comes back rich again....he comes home from Brazil and becomes a politician, in the house of lords? I think....sorry I am not familiar with British politics....but he buds heads with the duke in politics. Nan was pregnant with the dukes child but she had an early miscarriage and they never had a child together. Throughout the series I recall the duke and Guy still fighting over Nan and Nan fighting her feelings for Guy to no avail. They have stolen moments together in the series and in the end, they cannot control their emotions no longer...even if society shames them...they literally elope and Nan becomes pregnant with Guys child. Anyway theirs is a very passionate love story. I saw the original series years ago and loved it. So far, I was prepared to be disappointed with this series but i enjoyed it surprisingly...the acting is 👍 for got to also mention that in the old series she asks him for a divorce.

I just can’t get passed the bad costumes and todays spoken English, and modern behaviour. doesn’t seem like a proper period drama 😔 I guess you need to watch these with a pinch of salt or massive truck full of salt

I started to watch and I don't understand why they have to kill everything with today's culture, etc. The novel itself was set in the 1870's. It's like we can no longer stand any culture.

I'm not going to pretend like I understand. there are so many facets to aesthetics. I've been called ugly all my life to the point of isolation .but there are rock stars who have been called ugly ,but they are rock stars. there are pageant winners who still get plastic surgery .this is a nasty world. for me saying somebody is stunning ,looking like a normal girl is kind of ,beyond my pay grade of understanding .to me it's already established she's stunning no matter what she tries to look like in this show .she doesn't look normal to me. what a wonderful thing is eye of the beholder. that really is something. cuz I have discovered .and then there's more .it's funny that all the main American girls in this show are not really American .at best maybe some dual citizenship. anyway what's detestable are people who call other people ugly ,if they have gotten called ugly themselves .or people who have never been called ugly who called other people ugly . ugliness from inside really is a thing and more impactful and shows up on the outside .and then there are those people who slap you when they are called Beautiful by you.

The two WORST characters from the show, they truly deserve each other. Theo is worthy of a much better partner. Overall this show was incredibly disappointing, the music, dialogue and story-line seemed incomplete, jarring and awkward. Choices were made and they were…frustrating to say the least. Me and my friends enjoyed hate watching this: that should indicate enough.
I totally understand. I at first really enjoyed Nan the first few episodes but throughout the season she became increasingly unbearable. I understand her feeling betrayed but her ability to blame everyone about her not telling Theo was so annoying. The entitlement she felt even after Theo found out and her trying to be the victim just UGH made my skin itch.
