But that's what happens when you cast a bunch of people who seem to get along really well. I feel like Gaten/Dustin is the "Peter Parker" of the ST universe....he just goes around being himself, collecting father figures as he goes.
I swear they better find a way to bring Eddie back in season five or something. Like a way they could do it is like one of the episodes starts off in the upside down and you see a figure running through the upside and like the camera starts to zoom in and you see that it is Eddie or in the beginning of one of the episodes you see Eddie grab his guitar. Like please. Just something I need Eddie I literally almost quit watching the show when Eddie died

Joe even jokes about joining this guy in the D&D scenes with the other cast members. There's also a pretty cool take on him being Eddie Iron Maidens mascot

I'm usually not denying a character's death, until now. They only showed Dustin being with Eddie while he's dying. What did the rest of the group do? Did they never comeback to the trailer park and what did they do with his corpse? I can't imagine that they just left him like this.
