    confused with the main part of bag. 39 rows makes the bag 12inches wide instead of 8.5 inches. And from your image I have counted only 29 rows??

    Instructions should say to SKIP the first stitch after the chain 3 when beginning Row 5.

    Never crocheted with rafia before is there a knack in keeping it flat so it doesn't twist as you crochet?

      Note that we attach the flap to the main body of the bag, which is formed by rows (39 rows give the same width as 32 stitches). With my crochet density, it turned out like this. You crochet the main part of the bag, focusing on the length of the crochet flap.

    It looks like Row 8 starts with skipping 2 stitches? Your written instructions have some missing steps that make them hard to follow.

    Do I need to widen the yarn for the entire project or just at the beginning? What's the function?

    • @crochetclubstore
      @crochetclubstore  Год назад +1

      when you straighten the raffia, the stitches are lush and voluminous. Can only be straightened when crocheting the bag flap

      @@crochetclubstore I see. This is gold! Thanks for replying. But in your video, you didn't straighten for the entire flap. So at which point, I should just use the yarn as is?

      Stitches are worked around both sides of the foundation chain. Row 1: 1 sc the second st from the hook, 1 sc, 3 sc in one st, turn around and work in the unused loops on the other side 2 sc

    Cannot follow you stitch counts are not listed and your crocheting is not clear. Nothing adds up

    • @crochetclubstore
      @crochetclubstore  Год назад +1

      Hi Donna! The captions at the top of the video indicate the number of stitches to be crocheted in a row.
      You can also slow down the video if you can't keep up.

    • @donnad2934
      @donnad2934 Год назад +1

      It has nothing to do with keeping up, go back some of your rows do not have stitch counts. 🤷‍♀️

      Would be nice if at the end of each row the total stitch was listed for that row. Most of us know about increasing in the round, if we know the end result it would be much easier to follow. Thanks

      @@donnad2934 I added decoding step 1 - at the end of each row there is a total stitch for that row. See pinned first comment.
