This figure is so sick! I got mine today and honestly it is up there as one of the best figures in my collection. You basically have 2 figures in one which is cool and the sheer shelf presence and posability options are amazing! For my first Vader figure they really nailed it!
I am a hottoys fan from Shanghai, China. I bought a Darth Vader around 10 years ago, forgot which version is that Vader. But I didn't touch too much on the pleather, but it did peel off. looks like this one also uses the same pleather, so maybe that's how they keep us buying new Vaders 🤣

I had the same problem with thinking one of the connectors didn't work, but if you turn the switch up all should work. I had it down at first maybe this might work for you.
I was not prepared for the USB plug in situation in a Detolf! I agree it would have been nice to be able to plug the figure into the base. I had to get two USB-C 15 foot cords and a dual USB-A block to plug them in. Also, the emitter "cowl" on the powered saber popped off almost immediately and I had to super glue it. I'm not a huge Hot Toys guy; I have 4. Honestly, each one I've had has been super fragile and finnicky. This is the pinnacle of my collection, I love it, but probably my last Hot Toys...probably.
Could we please get a link for the wired cape? The pose at the end with wired cape looks phenomenal and is exactly how I want to display mine when it finally arrives!
The light up base is the same that was with the 1/4 scale Return of the Jedi Vader. That's why it seems big but it doesn't look too out of scale with a 1/6 figure.

Figure out the year? Until ROTJ comes out this for me It’s the figure of the year. The height is perfect, when he encounters anyone his stature overwhelms them and they will shriek with fear. Can’t wait to get Obi-Wan to pose it with this behemoth. It’s going to look sick!!
Thst pose is bad ass. The custom cape adds so much more dimension and character to the pose. My copy has just shipped from China so should be here in the next 10 days or so. I’m definitely going to check out the fusion reactor lightsaber and custom cape. The headsculpt is amazing, and it’s definitely the best to date but I have a feeling especially for OG fans the ROTJ will be the better of the two. I ordered the ROTJ Vader through Pop Collectibles only have two payments left, based on my last payment for this Vader being November thst would mean ROTJ could be released around July/August this year, time will tell

I found it interesting that when you film the LED sabre, and the fusion reactor sabre, there isnt much difference in illumination. (I KNOW, its only in the video, in person, its not the same). I own both this figure LED , and fusion reactor CCFL sabre. I think the LED isnt as bad as mentioned. My figures arent typically displayed under real harsh lighting. I do use luke light, for my detolfs. And just to be clear, fusion reactor is also providing LED sabre, as opposed to the CCFL, which was their original convection source. THANKS, for the video...👍
I use the clean sculpt, so that's two of us. I display the battle damaged head to the side. I like to switch up my displays though once a year so I'll switch it out eventually.
USB-C plug in. One on the base, one on the back of the figure (box has a clip and tucks into belt). So if you want both on, you need to run two USB-C cables to the wall socket. It has a switch on both to turn off each independently. No battery option.
I feel if you never had a Darth Vader before this is definitely one that you should get this is going to be my first Darth Vader and getting a deluxe is the best way to go because you have the battle damaged version which I feel this figure you'll never see again and then you have to clean version that beautiful diorama base two of them you can't go wrong
what version did you order? Mine is special edition without the Grand Inquisitor hologram. I have not seen any review or unboxing that didn't have it so I assume they only received the full package version.

Tons or unboxings and reviews were coming out but the release date for mine was still a Q4 estimate. The price of the in-stock version with holograms and without the throne even went down lower than what I paid for my version that wasn't even shipped yet so I cancelled my order and bought the in-stock version. At least our Vader version has an estimated shipping for March on Sideshow.
Glad you're feeling better! Wasn't Ahsoka a DX? I really haven't kept track except that she's the only DX figure I have. I hate those silly hookish stand things. I haven't found them particularly supportive.
I just got my email from them on Friday saying mine is shipping out in the next 10 days. I pre ordered the Deluxe Special edition as soon as they made these available for pre order. So I don't know if they are sending them out first to people who preordered them early on or what

The switch on the control panel goes in 2 directions. Try that first

Read instructions. The power box has three positions. Position 1. off , position 2. a-b-c-d on , and position 3. a-b-d on.

What could have made it the best vader, is giving it a real leather suit. along with a maskless hayden sculpt.
