Category Rules: Beat the game After Obtaining all 129 Pokemon Available in the game without Glitches (22 Pokemon aren't available unless you trade/glitch).

I've never played Pokemon Yellow, but I did watch this speedrun. I'm on a bit of a marathon with watching Pokemon speedruns. It's going to take a lot of time to watch all of the Pokemon speedruns that I plan on watching, but it's going to be time that I'm enjoying.
I must say i feel awesome since it took me a bit over 12 hours to do a full ingame dex. This speedrun definitley helped

I have always been interested in running Gen 1 pokemon (it's the gen I grew up on so it's my favorite, even with all the flaws. I still have my gen 1 and 2 limited edition pokemon GBCs), but i've found it.. unsatisfying learning the glitchless run. I have recently found your Catchem All runs, and I think this is the category I want to learn. I enjoy glitches for my own personal playthroughs but for a speedrun, I think glitchless Catchem All is my favorite. Catching a Gengar in Viridion is probably my favorite glitch since it can be repeated on the majority of trainers in the game.
The 59:10 "Really? I never miss that." made me realise I'll always be a Pokémon casual.
Its actually a lot easier than you think to grab those items (especially with thousand of hours played)

Neither dogs or Magnemite can eat chocolate. Chocolate can kill dogs, and Magnemite can't eat it because it doesn't have a mouth.
Then how does magnemite use berries?
@@dudeguy8686 Honestly, I have no idea. Magnemite can probably eat somehow because of berries and Pokepuffs, but I have no idea how it does it.

This speedrun is right up there in craziness with the Zelda Breath of the Wild 100 % run. Interesting to watch though!

I like how the trainer in brocks gym have ground type and not rock type I always found that funny

Do you have to wait for the credits to roll after the elite 4? I always thought that once it saves in the hall of fame you could just turn the game off and you will be in pallet town.

Bc of the time. This is a world record speedrun. He saves as much time as possible.
So there are some things I noticed correct me if I am wrong on these things with this Routing (watched the whole thing) you used Dragonair earlier, and decided to level up Bulbasaur earlier and leave Charmander Lv 10 until Elite Four? :) That makes more since since Bulbasaur is really hard to level up fast because of it's mediocre movepool for Type coverage... Just some things I noticed there was like one more thing I was gonna ask was differet but I don't remember what that was. GGs dude nice time. Unfortunately Growlithe had to screw your time over, you could have been well under 9 hours if that was the case. Good Safari Zone tho ^.^

What are the PB and best time in the lower left? I would think PB is the time the current segment took in PB, but it never lines up if you calculate the time between the splits. Eg at 5:07:00, the difference between the current and next split is almost an hour (6:00 - 5:06), but PB in the lower left says 31:22
EDIT: Just after this, that growlith luck was abysmal :(. Probably cost you the 9:30.

doing with pokemon red or blue would it be possible to catch all 151 with the aid or glitches to just catch the trade evalutions and ones that are not on the game but the catch is you are not allowed to trade.
Maybe i am stupid or missing something, but isnt it just possible to straight up talk to the trainers in blaines gym to fight them? Wouldnt that be faster than failing the questions first? I remember something of the kind.
No they wont fight you before answering the question. Maybe its in the remakes?
@@snazzel8312 Never played those, it could be in red and blue or my memory is just poor and got mixed up somewhere.
In Blue you can just fight them, but in yellow you have to fail the question first

When grinding at the end charmander, bulb, ponyta, dragonair. Why not combine them? I understand using dragon also makes it harder to reset but is the time save doing it individually worth it? Most boring part of run grinding but well worth it. Grats

Using gen 1 only, I would say Starmie is less doglike than Magnemite.
6:42 You could’ve got Mankey, Spearow, and Nidoran if you kept going to the left.
At just over an hour I thought of the worse time manip.....the one where you buy/get given the game and all of a sudden its your whole life ;/
