It's possible, they were just ment to be used as cannon fodder lore wise to be as cheap as possible to crank out, so the processer probably just had its parameters changed enough to be decent
They had possible commands to get better programming, but this was rarely used as droid sentience was very fearful
From the looks of things, B1 processors are very capable, but if they use their full power the droid becomes more sentient and starts to question orders, so they are artificially held back to prevent that even if it means their aim is less than their full potential.
@@alexschorr9551 or their processors are overloaded, or not receiving enough commands, which is a flaw with using individual thinking droids over a central computer

It proves that be one battle droids are more effective without all of the AI shackles the confederacy put on them. Including hand to hand combat in depth planning and problem solving skills b1s are severely underated

I mean I think that's kind of the point. They had to have certain field,nders controlling all of them as if they were mindless otherwise they would have had too many unpredictable rogues
We see them talk to each other and acknowledge the fact that they will loose to the Jedi. Some even tell others they will not flee while they actually try to run away in hopes no one will keep them from escaping.

The one battle droid that didn't even need reprogramming.
However reprogramming it and repairing it's circuits might be a better option because a damaged circuit is very unstable and could lead to a scizophrenic droid
I would enjoy a series with a schizophrenic droid. Especially knowing the droid was sent on undercover missions.

Very interesting detail that he suddenly was a much better fighter compared to all the other droids after he damaged his processor. Further hints at the fact that the battle droids were intentionally programmed to be bad so that the Jedi would win and the purge would be successful

I think the reason the droid became so much more skilled after he was killed is because now that he isn’t a mindless drone he actually valued himself and was fighting for his life. Also probably allowed him to use free thinking.
or could be that the blast unlocks he´s true potential cuz the separatists nerfs the B1 and other droids like Skynet does with the T800 and T1000 in fear of they revealing against them.

@@notaclass-d1822 It isn't about plot armour. It's actually because the Separatists nerf the B1's by limiting their processor capabilities so they are much less effective in combat but they also can't question and rebel against orders.
Bats had his processing limiter broken. Meaning he could disobey and question orders and have his full sentience. Also it meant is combat potential wasn't also restrained anymore.

Its crazy to know if Bats is capable of being a high skilled B1 with great accuracy and hand-to-hand combat because of his processor was damaged, then this means that every b1 can be like Bats if they werent limitted to their programming and can reach to thier potential as "battle" droids. If they did reach that potential, than its no longer a single clone trooper is equal to 10-20 B1's, but a 1 vs 1 of two highly trained Soldiers.

Sooo does that mean all of the droids within the separatist army were brainwashed slaves forced into servitude against their will similar to the clone army. It just makes the fate of the clones, and the droids all the more tragic both mass produced for a war that was naturally theirs to fight, and both sides were manipulated by Sith.
