If it says that we are slaves of god, then how is that being free, how do live our lives free in Christ?

God sent His Son Jesus down to this Earth so that Jesus could fulfill the law. Because Jesus lived on this Earth without sinning and offered Himself to God to be a living sacrifice for everyone on this Earth who has sinned (e.g. everybody! Because we all have sinned --- which means to break God's law. Because God is a just God who can not lie, the rule that anyone who commits a sin must die is true, so by default we all have to die because we have all committed sins). Because Jesus didn't sin living as a human in this world (though He is also fully God too) and He asked God to be taken as a sacrifice for all those who did sin, God agreed and has it so that all people who believe that Jesus is the Son of God that God Himself sent into the world to die for our sins, will be covered by Jesus' sacrifice and not go through eternal death--the very thing our sins are supposed to guarantee. So thank You Jesus for sacrificing your life, your comfort, your position, and your EVERYTHING so that WE sinners can live in eternity with you!
If you think about this, Jesus chose to live for us when He was on this world. When we chose to believe that Jesus, the Son of God, died for us and that because of our belief in Him, we are saved from eternal death, and follow His example, we dedicate our lives to Him as He did for us! That's how we become like slaves to God! But being God's slave is much better than being enslaved to sin because God, Jesus, and the Holy Spitit loves us so incredibly much!!! The consequences are more people coming to life and knowing that God loves them and being free of the consequences of sin!

      Roman 6:15-23
      Slaves to Righteousness
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey-whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
This is the passage that was reference in this video and in verse 17 it say that we have chosen from the heart to obey God and have become slaves of righteousness meaning that we live lives with conviction and commitment to be blameless and righteous before God (so not choosing to live in sin instead live for God) because we know that he set us free from the bondage of sin and death which leads to eternal separation from God. verse 22 says we become slaves to God which benefits us because the result is eternal life with Jesus. also important to note in verse 19 Paul say he is using concept of slavery so that they can understand due to limitation of the mind at this time slavery was common.
