Hellion jacket Is better when you fight against group, but mercenary jacket Is much better in 1v1.

Every build is good and every weapon is good if you spec it and spec the weapons and armor pieces from the same tree

Both weapons are excelent for solo pvp but i think carving sword is a bit better.

carving is great, has high damage output, and is easier to play than DG but has no mobility.
DG has a lot of mobility. If the fight doesnt go your way, you can always escape.
