I showed two ways to take out the pit :) Did you see the second way? Otherwise if your cutting it in half you could scoop it out with a spoon but it can get a bit messy!

I've heard that you can leave the pit in to stop the avocado from ripening really fast. I haven't tried this before though. LOVE this video!!!
I actually meant to mention that! I always keep the pit in if I'm not using the whole avocado.

If you slice the avocado with the tip of the knife it doesn't slip up and stick to the knife :)
