Lindberg is one of the greatest extreme metal vocalists ever. He absolute nailed the high pitched melodic death metal growl that has influenced so many damned vocalists, none of which have matched the intensity, texture, and quality of Tomas imo. You can hear the utter pain and disgust in his voice on every damned song. I have the choruses of Slaughter of the Soul seared in my memory. "CONTROL.... CONTROL!", "NAUSEA.. OH SWEET NAUSEA", "I FEEL MY SOUL GO COLD, ONLY THE DEAD ARE SMILING!".
