Hardtail (black) vs Tremolo (Sunburst) Stratocaster: Which Do You Prefer?

Tough one, Jamie. I like them both at different times based on the pickups used. Sometimes the black one sounds clearer and other times might sound a little nasally? While the sunburst tone remained pretty consistent.
Perfect timing because I just picked up my strat from the luthier and he unblocked my bridge and adjusted it to float. Very excited to dive in this morning 😊

So many variables other than hardtail vs trem at play. Wood type/density/weight, pots, pickups, capacitors,....... but FWIW, the burst just sounds more "Stratty" to me.

I got a blocked 1990 Eric Clapton stat very stable, easy mod if you don’t use trem!
