Mine showed up today & wow! The power difference from my x1max hub is INSANE! For my second eskate it's a beast! Love every aspect of it & the hill climbing was beyond impressive!
Would love to see a comparison vid with the voyager. I know it's more powerful but it would be interesting to see the real world difference. Maybe meepo will update the voyager (v2) with the hobbywing esc.
Great video bro!!! Very complete!!! It seems like a total review, there is a lot of information! The new ESC may be the icing on the cake and make this ENVY very powerful but very smooth and progressive. Good job!!!!
⚡👌🏼 *Great first look review man* 👌🏼⚡ I'm so glad Meepo decided to try Hobbywing again, I really prefer it over other ESCs, hope Meepo offer a kegel pulley for this. Nice to see they picked you to send you the first board for review! There's one diot in the comments who seems to not understand what Meepo sendin the first Envy board means lmao, and tellin you to get an Evolve even though you used to ride Evolve before, he should do his homework and learn to listen/watch before talkin/commentin lol. Enjoyed this one 🤙🏼🤙🏼 I really like the bright green baseplates.🤩
I’m totally with you there man. I prefer the smoother Hobbywing esc’s too! It’s great having power but when throttles becomes jerky it takes away from the enjoyment. And haha :) thanks. He’s free to share his thoughts, but you’re right a minute of research would reveal where it all started for me - evolve.
Awesome review.. I've purchased the Meepo Envy NLS 3 and awaiting delivery soon... you are exactly like me how you test out new electric skateboards.. the Meepo Envy NLS 3 is a speed demon and supreme hill climber.. and a fantastic board for distance skateboarding 🛹 its simply an awesome deal for beginner electric skateboarders or newbies because of how smooth the board operates in use. Your video demonstration is the best I've seen on RUclips by a clear mile for the Meepo Envy NLS 3 skateboard 😊😊😊
I'm waiting for mines 😊 I have the Voyager and I love it. If this feels anything like it. I think the Voyager & the NLS 3 will be the only 2 I'll ever need. Great review 👍🏾
Great video and good to see new content on your channel . Green is my alltime favorite color and since i am in the market for a new commuter actually, this ticks all the boxes, well lets say almost . Exactly they way they made it but with the battery of the voyager for the range....i would have neen sold within a second. Maybe I'll have to ask them for a naked envy and then buy the oarts of the voyager 😂
This is one of if not the nicest-looking boards meepo has made. Probably could've used a more relevant graphic on the grip tape to "envy" or green like "snake venom" but I'm glad they went with a hobby wing esc. At $650 (with coupon) is it better than the exway flex ER?
Greetings and congratulations on the exclusive, a great review, I would like to know how you do the carvings and what grade you would give it, good, remarkable, excellent, to get an idea, and finally, how many km of autonomy you have done. Thank you very much.
Just a note: 21700 actually refers to the physical dimentions of the cell (21mm diameter x 70.0mm length), not the capacity in mAh. Looking like another great board from Meepo, especially for the price!
Cheers Anthony! You are spot on. I realised the mistake only after releasing so I left a small correction in the description. Thanks for picking it up! Great board indeed 👌
Hey. It’s water resistant so technically it can be ridden in rain at your own risk. But it’s never recommended and I would say you should avoid rain riding with any eskate
How do you get partnerships with e skateboard to do reviews on them? I thought about doing a channel on boards I bought so I can give an honest review.
also i dont know why they continue to put the charge port on the bottom, how much more difficult is it to put it on the side. that batterry port cover is going to get sheared off like it always does
Thanks for watching and for the feedback. To be honest I thought the range was pretty good even with the smaller wh rating. After I got home at roughly 10 miles I was only half way through the battery. Can pass on your feedback though thanks for sharing
I haven’t ridden the Voyager but I imagine with the hobbywing esc a much smoother ride and remote connection. The voyager has better specs on paper like 40mph top speed and 544wh battery, but it comes at a higher price tag and the (in my view) inferior esc. Hope that helps!
@@22KSaiyanYt lithium batteries (like the one in your phone) degrade over time and have life cycles. Now let’s say you use a hyper fast charger as opposed to a standard say 2amp charger, you put the battery through a lot more strain and over time you get to enjoy less life cycles. For hyper fast chargers it’s better to use those on odd occasions e.g group rides or coffee stops, rather than on every ride
@@ASeSkater so say if i use the fast charger every single ride back to back (v4s)and then, randomly one day it stops charging. Did i possibly kill my battery? Or should i order the standard charger and maybe that will work?
@@ASeSkater it looks fantastic. My dad has an NLS pro, and I have a V3 ER, have you ridden any of these boards? I like the aggressiveness of the V3, and the smoothness and comfort of the NLS pro. If you have ridden any of these, how does this one compare?
@@ESKATEUK That's awesome that your dad rides too. If you look back about 2 years on my channel you'll see some vids with a Meepo V3. I've ridden that board though just the standard range version not ER. Even with hub motors it was punchy. Meepo have come such a long way though between that and the Envy. The belt motors are torquey, the deck feels amazing, the build quality is a lot better than the V3. And that board lasted my friend like 2000 miles before the motor bearings gave in, so imagine how long the Envy can last!
@@ASeSkater firstly, thanks for the fast reply! And yeah it’s fantastic mate, he’s 50 but very young at heart, he loves the ESKATE scene, he was the one that got me into long boarding and then electric longboarding. I’ve had my v3 with no issues since release now so around 3 years, really good piece of kit, and still has a savage acceleration. I could handle more acceleration in all honesty, is the Envy/NLS 3 any faster in this regard? I know the added torque will really come i useful as I am 100kg so have a decent amount of weight to lug around, and I know those belt motors are going to chew up the hill far easier. I think the controller and ESC I expect are far more refined too. I also love the soft bounce of my dads NLS pro, so that will be a warm welcome.
@@ESKATEUK Your dad sounds like a proper legend! That's really impressive that your board's lasted you that long and at your weight. Yeah would definitely say it's faster, also with the better acceleration it gets you to top speed quicker. Before I knew it on that first ride I was going near top speed, and the sound of the motors was delightful lol. You're right Meepo went away from Hobbywing ESC's for a while but they've brought it back for the Envy, meaning buttery smooth acceleration and braking. No jerkiness or funny business. Not sure how the deck flexyness compares to NLS Pro but definitely feels lots flexier than that old V3. Hope that helps
Technically yes but this board costs less and the specs I think will be fine for most. Not everyone needs 40mph. 30 is enough for me lol. 2775w motors on voyager.
Yeah, but it looks pretty good for $700 US. The Evolve Stoke is a nice board, but 4 inches shorter, smaller motors and battery, and $200 more. I need to buy 2 for my kids and this might be a good intro for them.
Stop hating😅first of all this thing doesn’t cost you $2000. And there’s so many better looking board than evolve( blackcarve 3, meepo hurricane ultra bamboo, tynee explorer and more…). All better specs and way cheaper than evolve.

Love the two tone green colour, trucks/enclosures and griptape pinstriping on this.
Great design isn’t it?
