Absolutely love the “fake” trade segment .. personally love it as actual NBA talk. Outside playoff NBA games … it’s the NBA offseason-in season trades!
I just want to know why they aren't calling the games like they did post all star break last season? The end of some of these games are unwatchable with all the calls.
I think rating are down because too many 3s and players constantly complaining every play. I know some of my casual friends that’s their complaints and I agree with that.
Yes, I actually got home from work; I turned on PHX-LAL & felt sorry for anyone who bought tickets as I saw 13 brick missed 3's in a row from both sides; sad & ridiculous! 3 hall of famers' & 5 all-stars between the two teams! It's just unimaginable that this is the new NBA product!
I live in Eastern Europe, my Internet provider includes some sport channels with a good number of games in NBA, NHL, European football (soccer) leagues, tennis etc. We don't watch NFL or baseball here, those are American sports. In NBA, yesterday we had Boston - Detroit and today we'll have Minnesota - LA and Portland - San Antonio. Not bad considering I don't really pay anything extra for it, it's all included in my 7$/month 250mbit fiber plan. I've been watching more live NBA lately since I'm doing night shifts at my new job, the time is perfect xD
I think the most interesting thing OKC can do is pay however many picks are needed this year and the next few to get Cooper Flagg. Primarily because his deal will be low for 4 years, he fits their team perfectly, and lets say you can't one day keep SGA/Jalen/Chet, at least you can keep Cooper with his cheaper relative deals (Cause he's drafted years later so his salary jump wont align with theirs). Especially because Cooper fits nicely as a PF next to Chet if you want to be big without having to put Chet at PF. They could trade like 6 first round picks for a big bet like this and I think its worth it due to chemistry, timing and cheapness of draft picks relative to their ability. He would guarantee they will be great, and doesn't have to be the entire focus of the offense which his optimal spot
Think it's more about the product on the floor. 3 pt happy league, miss the NBA rivals where players and teams don't like each other. Imo I miss the 70's 80's 90's.
I say I love 80s basketball, and it was the best time for basketball. It was young. It was the age of basketball maturity/greatness. We were seeing things done for the first time by some of NBAs geatest players in there prime. Things that had never been done and players were absolutely greater than what we have now. We don't watch it now because the quality of the picture of it is terrible, not to mention we already know the results of the game. Also having the mass quantity of so much entertainment on TV, It's really hard to go back in time and look at those games when you can watch a new series that everyone's buzzing about. But if it was high def like current basketball, it would get better ratings, in my opinion.
Bring back 2013-14 to 17-18 Lakers who literally had THE WORST RECORD IN NBA for HALF DECADE!🙄 Since LeBron has been on the Lakers (even with horrid roster construction his last 4 yrs post good 19-20 20-21 rosters) they’re 1 of 5 teams to win 🏆 and make another conference finals (along with Nuggets, Warriors, Celtics & Bucks)! Anyone who thinks LeBron is the problem not ownership and GM/FO post Dr Buss (Mount Rushmore owner for all sports dying Feb 2013) is just a delusional Bron hater
That's because of this asinine new NBA where there no true forwards, only "3 & D" wings and where players are allowed a 3rd "gathering step". Apparently the league wanted to make things even easier for super-athletic highly-skilled players and also wanted to make it really boring by having 3 or 4 players just standing around the perimeter waiting to be passed the ball so they can shoot a 3. Zzzzzz...

Rookie contracts should be separate from the apron/salary cap

I think part of the problem with ratings is that there are too many platforms and too many blackouts- at least where I live.

You guys sound really defensive today.
The games are long and boring. There is no excitement like there was with Magic, Larry and MJ.

@@dmitryowens Yup. The Eurostep has screwed up the entire offensive and defensive alignments.

I was talking about the gathering step - that's totally different than the Eurostep.
